The 15-year-old daughter of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, who identified as a man during her grandfather's funeral while revealing her new name, took social media by storm this week.
X users highlighted that though the incident may seem isolated, it mirrors a broader trend of sudden gender dysphoria among famous teenagers, including Affleck's stepdaughter, who identifies as non-binary, and even one of Elon Musk's sons, who identifies as a woman.
All three of these children reportedly attend the same educational institution: Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences, located in Santa Monica, California.
The Daily Caller's Mary Rooke delivered a comprehensive examination of this prominent California school that potentially sheds light on the shocking pattern of gender confusion amongst celebrity children.
The school positions itself as a beacon of progressive education, offering a Kindergarten to 12th-grade program aimed at cultivating critical thinking, open expression, and a dedication to community, justice, and activism.
“If you know anything about how to spot a progressive left indoctrination camp parading as a school, the words community, justice, and activism should have raised alarm bells,” Rooke writes.
Schools like Crossroads aspire to serve as incubators for the children of the elite, molding them into activists for various social justice causes, the author highlights.
The school's mission statement asserts that social justice is interwoven into every aspect of student life, shaping their worldview and empowering them to address historical and contemporary inequities on local, national, and international scales.
Crossroads' website states, “Through class projects; community service; clubs and organizations; student-led activism; and the Crossroads School Equity & Justice Institute, students learn about critical social justice issues, raise awareness among their peers and take action to affect meaningful change.”
One notable event in the school's calendar was an “equity and justice” panel held last May, which focused on engaging members of the LGBTQ community in discussions about art and activism.
The panel featured an array of activists, including Professor Marlon M. Bailey, Ph.D., writer and documentary filmmaker Gregorio Davila, activist Don Kilhefner, Ph.D., and activist Bamby Salcedo. It was notably spearheaded by Black Lives Matter (BLM) co-founder Patrisse Cullors.
Salcedo, a transgender activist who identifies as a woman, was recognized for his advocacy work by both the Obama and Biden administrations. He has been invited to the White House to “advocate on the issues of safety, inclusion, as well as opportunities for transgender individuals,” according to his website Trans Latina Coalition.
Bailey, an academic specializing in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Washington University in St. Louis, offers insights into gender and sexuality through courses like “Gender and Sexuality in the African Diaspora.”
Rooke goes on to say in her article that Kilhefner's inclusion is the “most concerning.”
He is introduced on the school's website as a co-founder of the LA LGBT Center and the Radical Faeries movement. However, omitted is Kilhefner's involvement in the Gay Liberation Front (GLF) in Los Angeles, an organization known for its radical activism during the Stonewall Uprising.
The GLF's influence, akin to that of Antifa, paved the way for riots and Gay Pride parades that propelled LGBTQ issues into the mainstream.
“Any average American parent would look at this line-up and be shocked their child’s school is allowing these radical activists the chance to introduce themes and topics in front of students,” Rooke said in closing.
She then warned readers to not “be fooled into thinking these panels are only happening in California.”
“They are at your local public and private schools. This ideology is not just for the rich and famous. There has never been a more critical time for parents to be involved in their child’s education,” she added.
“The U.S. education system is captured by people who want to use their children to make a statement. They want them as activists for their causes and for other sinister purposes,” she said in sum.
