Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) issued a scathing criticism of President Joe Biden over the weekend, accusing him of displaying a lack of unequivocal support for Israel in the wake of Iran's bold and unprecedented attack on the nation this past Saturday.

During a Sunday interview on CNN, Fetterman took the opportunity to express his concerns regarding the escalating situation between Iran and Israel.

He criticized Biden for “not standing firmly with Israel,” and also shared praise for Israel after it “smoked that Iranian general.”

Fetterman's remarks underscored a growing sentiment among some Democratic lawmakers regarding the Biden administration's stance on the escalating tensions in the Middle East.

The Daily Wire reported that the senator highlighted the alarming statistics, detailing Iran's deployment of 185 one-way suicide drones, 110 surface-to-surface missiles, and 36 cruise missiles targeting Israel.

“When a nation can launch hundreds of drones towards Israel, I’m not going to be talking about conditions — ever,” he said.

Fetterman expressed deep dismay, emphasizing his astonishment at what he perceived as a lack of unwavering support for Israel amidst the recent hostile actions orchestrated by Iran.

He also made it clear that he firmly believes there should never be any conditions attached to standing in solidarity with Israel, especially in the face of such blatant aggression.

“I don’t agree with that,” Fetterman said, referring to reports of President Biden telling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday that the U.S. would not support an Israeli counterattack against Iran.

“And I just think we should follow and have Israel’s back in this situation,” he added. “I don’t agree with the president.”

Fetterman said that he would “never capitulate to the fringe,” referring to the far-Left of the Democratic Party. “I will never pander to that as well. In fact, that helps, that empowers Hamas. And Hamas is actually convinced that they are winning the PR war, and they’re never going to negotiate at this point.”

He continued, “They think they’re going to hold on to the very end.”

“And I know why they’re not willing to provide any kind of proof of life. And I don’t know why there’s not more of that conversation in the media,” he added. “Like, what about the hostages? What’s happened to them? Where are they now? And let’s just bring them home.”

Fetterman reiterated his support for Israel's actions during the interview, including the targeted killing of the Iranian general in Syria just a couple of weeks prior.

“I’m here for that!” Fetterman proclaimed.

Fetterman's remarks underscored a broader sentiment among some lawmakers regarding the necessity of robust support for Israel amidst escalating tensions with Iran.

Users on X shared their thoughts on Fetterman's comments, with some applauding the senator for defending Israel “more in that clip, than his whole party and Biden combined.”

Fetterman has also gained support online over recent comments, where he slammed the Democratic Party for supporting squatters over homeowners.

“How can you even pretend that this is anything other than you’re just breaking the law?” he said.
