On Easter Sunday, Biden's social media accounts actively posted several different messages about both Easter and “Transgender Day of Visibility.” Notably, one account lacked any post related to the LGBTQ holiday.

The Post Millennial reports the Biden White House social media account “La Casa Blanca” abstained from posting anything related to the holiday, whereas the English account posted on Easter to declare recognition of the LGBTQ day.

Social media users pointed out that the posts issued for the Spanish White House account only celebrated Easter and Cesar Chavez.

The Post Millennial’s Thomas Stevenson highlights that in contrast, the English White House account made an Easter post similar to the Spanish post, however it stated, “Transgender Americans are part of the fabric of our nation.”

“On Transgender Day of Visibility, our Administration honors the extraordinary courage of transgender Americans and reaffirms our commitment to forming a more perfect union – where all people are treated equally,” it added. Wording that notably did not appear in Spanish.

Stevenson speculates the varied messaging possibly reflects a notable divergence in how the Biden administration perceives its appeal to Hispanic voters compared to other groups within its potential voting bloc. Especially considering support for Biden from Hispanic voters has dropped dramatically since the 2020 election.

President Joe Biden has responded to criticism over his decision to designate March 31 as “Transgender Day of Visibility,” which happened to coincide with Easter Sunday this year.

The White House affirmed the president’s remarks in a new statement, writing “On Transgender Day of Visibility, we honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation’s commitment to forming a more perfect Union — where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives.”

Many prominent Christians and conservatives criticized Biden and his administration for the statement.

Former President Donald Trump was particularly vocal, demanding an immediate apology to millions of Christians and Catholics.
