James Comer Probes FBI’s Actions in Biden Investigation for Revelations on Defensive Briefings

In a recent discussion on Steve Bannon’s WarRoom program, journalist for Just The News, John Solomon highlighted new evidence and investigative insights into the FBI and former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe's involvement with defensive briefings, especially concerning Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.  Solomon told Bannon this is a big story and moving forward.

This comes after Solomon's earlier statements to Bannon about being directed to documents by whistleblowers, who were frustrated with McCabe and led Solomon to evidence he finally and recently secured from a FOIA lawsuit after 6 years.

The Friday conversation began with Solomon referencing an earlier discussion with Bannon about whether Joe Biden received a defensive briefing regarding Hunter Biden's foreign dealings. Solomon emphasized the importance of such briefings, explaining that they are typically used to alert political figures or major business leaders to efforts by foreign entities to influence or infiltrate their organizations.

“We are aware of efforts to influence or infiltrate your organization to potentially compromise you and your family,” Solomon elaborated, noting that these briefings are intended to protect the recipients.

Solomon compared how defensive briefings were handled for different political figures. He pointed out that in 2015, Hillary Clinton received a defensive briefing about foreign influences on her campaign. Conversely, Donald Trump did not receive a similar briefing when there were claims of Russian attempts to influence his campaign.

“In the last 10 years, they've been weaponized a lot more,” Solomon remarked, suggesting that Democrats seemed to benefit more from these briefings while Republicans did not receive the same treatment.

According to Solomon, this selective approach to defensive briefings became more apparent during the 2020 investigations into Hunter Biden’s foreign dealings. Senators Ron Johnson (R-WI) and Chuck Grassley (R-IW), who were probing these matters, were warned by intelligence agencies that their investigations might be part of a Russian disinformation campaign.

Solomon claimed these warnings were unfounded, similar to how the 51 intelligence agents' assertions that Hunter Biden's laptop was “Russian disinformation” were baseless.

“By the time they made that briefing, they had no basis to make it,” Solomon told Bannon, suggesting that the warnings were part of a broader effort to protect certain political figures.

The crux of the discussion revolved around the significant foreign contacts and financial transactions involving Hunter Biden and various foreign nationals under U.S. intelligence scrutiny. Solomon listed individuals like Mykola Zlochevsky of Burisma, a Romanian oligarch, and Russian oligarch Elena Baturina, all of whom had dealings with Hunter Biden. Given the nature of these interactions, Solomon argued it was highly improbable that Joe Biden and even Barack Obama were not briefed about these potential compromises. “It seems improbable from every expert that I've talked to that both Joe Biden and probably Barack Obama didn't get defensive briefings,” he noted.

Solomon underscored the importance of this issue in the context of current political investigations, particularly the impeachment inquiries against Joe Biden. He mentioned recent actions by Representatives Jim Jordan (R-OH) and James Comer (R-KT), who have requested any and all defensive briefings provided to Biden and Obama. Solomon suggested that if such briefings were indeed given, and Biden continued to support his son's activities, it would significantly impact the impeachment arguments. “It could be a game-changer in this impeachment argument because it's very simple: Joe Biden knew, and he still went and assisted his son,” Solomon said.

If it turns out that the intelligence community did not provide these briefings despite having extensive documentation of Hunter Biden's foreign contacts, Solomon argued that the FBI and CIA would have serious explanations to provide. He cited documents showing the FBI possessed millions of pages detailing these foreign interactions. “The FBI had 3.39 million pages of documents showing all of these foreign contacts and all of these influence-peddling schemes that the Bidens were involved in,” he stated.

He encouraged listeners to follow his work at Just The News for further updates, noting the significance of Congress finally addressing these issues.
