Matt Boyle Reports Moneyball Strategy: Voter Registration Surge Excites Steve Bannon Weeks Ahead of Prison Release

Moneyball Strategy: Voter Registration Surge Excites Steve Bannon

Matt Boyle appeared on Monday’s WarRoom program to report exciting news. Arizona is a key battleground state for 2024, and that was Boyle’s focus.  According to Boyle, Turning Point Action, led by Charlie Kirk and Tyler Boyer, has identified 350,000 new Republican voters who could deliver a crucial victory.

Boyle told host Peter Navarro that Steve Bannon, whom Boyle communicated with from Bannon’s prison cell where he is being held as a political prisoner, was excited about the news, seeing this as a "moneyball” approach that could turn the tide in Trump’s favor.

According to the “economics of baseball” The Moneyball thesis is simple: Using statistical analysis, small-market teams can compete by buying assets that are undervalued by other teams and selling ones that are overvalued by other teams.

A Game-Changing Voter Drive in Arizona

In the latest War Room episode, Matt Boyle of Breitbart brought exciting news that has Steve Bannon and MAGA strategists fired up. Boyle reported a massive voter registration push in Arizona led by Turning Point Action, which has mobilized hundreds of “ballot chasers” to track down potential Republican voters. "They’ve identified a universe of about 350,000 likely Republican voters who haven’t participated in recent elections,” Boyle said.

The Moneyball Strategy

Bannon, who is scheduled to be released from prison on Oct. 29, founded Breitbart before joining Trump’s 2016 campaign, sees the Turning Point effort as the political equivalent of baseball’s "Moneyball” strategy. As Boyle explained, "This is like when the Oakland A’s in the early 2000s used statistics to turn underdogs into winners. Now, Republicans are doing the same with voter data.” If Turning Point can activate just half of the 350,000 potential voters, it could be a 5% boost to the Republican total—a game-changer.

Boosting Voter Turnout

Arizona has become one of the most fiercely contested states in national elections. With about three million voters expected to cast ballots, boosting the turnout by 5% could tip the scale in Trump’s favor. Boyle noted, "150,000 votes is bigger than the margin of cheating, if you will. If they execute this plan, that’s the ball game.”

Steve Bannon’s Enthusiasm

Bannon is clearly energized by this effort, urging Boyle to share the news first thing on War Room. “Steve was like, ‘You’ve got to get on War Room Monday morning to talk about it,'” Boyle said. This kind of grassroots mobilization is exactly what Bannon has been advocating, emphasizing the importance of the ground game over traditional media strategies or ad buys.

Early Voting is Underway

Early voting is already starting in Arizona, making this voter registration push even more critical. Boyle added, "They ran a test project in the primaries, and it worked. Now, they’re ready to deliver those extra votes for the general election.”

Trump Leads in Polls

Adding to the excitement, Boyle shared that Trump is already gaining ground. A new poll shows Trump leading by six points in Arizona, with similar positive trends in other battleground states like Georgia and Pennsylvania. "Kamala Harris is sinking, and Trump is rising at a key moment,” Boyle explained. This voter registration surge could further secure Trump’s path to victory.

The Bottom Line

The voter registration push in Arizona, backed by Turning Point Action and embraced by Steve Bannon, could give Trump the edge he needs in 2024. By focusing on untapped Republican voters, this "moneyball” strategy is set to have a significant impact on the election outcome. Now, as Boyle emphasized, "It’s all about execution, execution, execution.”
