Trump Gains Ground in Pennsylvania: Newest Rasmussen Poll Shows 3-Point Lead

Trump’s Momentum in Pennsylvania Surges

According to recent data from Rasmussen, Donald Trump is gaining significant ground in Pennsylvania. As of last night’s polling, Trump leads Kamala Harris by three points, 50% to 47%. This is a pivotal shift from earlier this year when the race appeared tied.

Mark Mitchell of Rasmussen discussed these new figures with Peter Navarro on Monday’s WarRoom, stating, "We have Donald Trump up 50 to 47 by three points, just at the margin of error in Pennsylvania.” This new polling highlights a broader national trend in favor of Trump as the 2024 election approaches.

Key Shifts in Voter Sentiment

Several key factors are driving this change in Pennsylvania. Trump’s growing lead on issues like inflation and immigration is resonating with voters. In September, Trump had a clear advantage over Harris on handling immigration. Now, that advantage has only expanded. “On inflation and the cost of living, Trump’s advantage now hits double digits,” Navarro noted during the interview.

Mitchell also commented on the broader implications of the data, saying, “We all know this is a referendum on the Biden administration. There’s zero substance to Kamala Harris’s campaign.”

Pennsylvania’s Role in 2024

Pennsylvania remains a critical battleground state in the 2024 election. Mitchell emphasized the historical importance of the state, pointing out, “Trump has never been up in Pennsylvania in the polls before. Eight years ago, Hillary Clinton was favored by eight, and she lost by one. Biden was up by seven, and he won by one.”

This shift marks a significant departure from the polling data in previous election cycles, indicating a potential realignment in voter sentiment across the state.

Concerns About Voter Integrity

Despite the promising numbers for Trump, Mitchell and Navarro both expressed concerns about voter integrity in Pennsylvania. Navarro referred to Pennsylvania as a key state Democrats would need to “steal” in order to win. Mitchell echoed this sentiment, stating, “If you look at Pennsylvania on Real Clear Politics, the writing is on the wall. They need to steal Pennsylvania, or they lose.”

The conversation revealed a shared belief that the media and political establishment are preparing for a potential Trump victory, with recent headlines beginning to shift the narrative. As Mitchell noted, “You started to see CNN with headlines like, ‘Warning signs for the Kamala Harris campaign.'”

Looking Ahead to 2024

The latest polling in Pennsylvania offers a glimpse of the broader national trends leading up to the 2024 election. Trump’s gains in the state could prove pivotal, especially as more battleground states report new polling data. Mitchell teased upcoming numbers from North Carolina and Wisconsin, which will be released soon.

As the election season progresses, Pennsylvania remains a focal point, and with Trump now leading in the state, the stakes are higher than ever.
