Four of former President Donald Trump’s children released statements and posts online following the assassination attempt on their father during a campaign rally on Saturday.

Trump got shot at the rally in Pennsylvania and Secret Service agents rushed in to protect him. The former president left the rally with a bloody ear. A spokesperson for Trump said the former president was “fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility.”

Ivanka Trump, the former president’s oldest daughter, released a statement on X, thanking folks for their prayers and support.

“Thank you for your love and prayers for my father and for the other victims of today’s senseless violence in Butler, Pennsylvania,” she wrote. “I am grateful to the Secret Service and all the other law enforcement officers for their quick and decisive actions today. I continue to pray for our country.”

“I love you Dad, today and always,” she added.

Trump’s daughter, Tiffany Trump, also released a statement. “The outpouring of love and support for my dad is deeply appreciated,” she wrote. “Thank you God for keeping my father alive.”

“Political violence is never the answer,” she added. “God bless the secret service and law enforcement who fearlessly intervened. Please include the families of the victims in your prayers. As you saw today, my father is a fighter and he will continue to fight for you and the USA.”

Donald Trump Jr. posted on X a photo of his father, who has his fist raised in the air and blood streaming down his face. “He’ll never stop fighting to Save America,” he captioned the post.

Another one of Trump’s sons, Eric Trump, posted the same photo. His caption read, “This is the fighter America needs!”

Trump’s youngest child, Barron Trump, was reportedly with his father at the rally when the shots were fired.

The former president himself eventually released a statement on Truth Social.

“I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania,” the former president said. “Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country.”

“Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead,” Trump continued. “I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening.”

“GOD BLESS AMERICA!” he closed the post.
