Biden/Harris Deliver More Migrants than Jobs in October

Business groups created 12,000 additional jobs in September, amid an economic slowdown at the strike at Boeing. The 12,000 number was one-ninth of the 112,500 new jobs that were expected.

But Biden’s deputies also invited 49,840 more parole migrants to fly or bus into the U.S. for jobs during October. Those “parole migrants” are welcomed by the Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the ports of entry along the border.

An additional 56,580 migrants– including many women and children – crossed the border illegally and were registered by the Border Patrol. Some will be deported.

Biden’s deputies also welcomed at least 150,000 legal immigrants, foreign temporary workers, and refugees.

The more-migrants-than-jobs news prompted jeers from Americans who want more jobs and higher wages for Americans.

Trump vows 25 percent tariff on Mexico unless it cracks down on border crossings

Former President Trump threatened to impose a tariff of 25 percent on all imports from Mexico, which is the top trade partner with the U.S., unless the Mexican government curbs what he called an “onslaught” of immigrants coming across the border.

“We’re being invaded by Mexico. But now we have a new president of Mexico. Supposed to — a very nice woman, they say. I haven’t met her. And I’m going to inform her on day one or sooner that if they don’t stop this onslaught of criminals and drugs coming into our country, I’m going to immediately impose a 25 percent tariff on everything they send into the United States of America,” Trump said at a rally in North Carolina.

By giving the FCC and Congress so little time before the election, NBC calculated that it could get away with, at most, a fine. NBC’s top lawyer, Kim Harris, worked for Obama and is thick as thieves with Biden admin and DNC. NBC may not have calculated that this is flagrant election interference. NBC may not have calculated that it is vulnerable because it depends on the US government for its license.

The American people have subsidized NBC for decades. Congress and FCC should revoke NBC’s license. They have violated the public’s trust. It is not acting in the public’s interest. Our voices matter. the Equal Time statute. The FCC’s seven-day rule affords qualifying candidates one week to request their Equal Time from the broadcast station. The FCC adopted the seven-day rule to avoid gamesmanship by candidates (usually gamesmanship by the candidate seeking the Equal Time in the exemplar case) and for orderly planning (usually for the broadcaster).

But the one week right also allows the candidate seeking the Equal Time an opportunity to plan for their use of the time that the law affords them. Maybe they don’t have material in the can or maybe they want to cut a new ad or maybe they want a couple of days to prepare for their Equal Time.

They would need some time for that. And the rule does not require candidates to choose between a snap response or none at all. Nonetheless, NBC structured the SNL candidate appearance (just hours before an election) in a way that denies all other candidates their one week procedural right.

DOJ invokes Civil War-era law in warning federal agents not to respond to polling places with guns

In recent days, federal law enforcement agents across the government received a jarring communication from the Justice Department: a warning they could be prosecuted under a Civil War-era law if they respond to an election polling place with guns, even for a fake report of a crime.

The memo from Corey R. Amundson, the chief of DOJ’s Public Integrity Section that oversees election crimes, was dated Oct. 15 and states it was prompted by inquiries about how the government might respond to Election Day violence.

Title 18, United States Code, Section 592.”

“This statute — which has been on existence since 1864 — makes it a felony for a federal official to send armed personnel to an operational polling place for crowd control or other purposes,” the memo added.

The current memo cautioned agents that bad actors might try to trick agents into an armed respond to a polling place with a false report of violence.

“Be aware that an individual or group may seek to entice an armed federal response to a polling place in violation of the statute by making a false report of a bomb threat or active shooter,” the memo cautioned. “Coordination with your state and local law enforcement partners is essential.”

The memo stated there are two exceptions to the law:

“The statute does not prevent federal law enforcement personnel from carrying their service weapon when visiting a polling place to vote in their personal capacity.”

“The statute does not prevent an armed federal response when a polling place ceases operations since it is no longer covered by the statute under those circumstances. This may occur due to an emergency, such as a bomb threat or active shooter.”
