Leonel Moreno, a TikTok influencer, has found himself in hot water after advising illegal migrants on how to exploit squatter's rights to unlawfully occupy empty properties in the United States—leading to Moreno becoming a fugitive from immigration authorities.

Moreno, who crossed into the United States illegally in April 2022 through Eagle Pass, Texas, was initially part of the Alternatives for Detention program, which uses ankle monitors among other methods to track migrants.

However, he was labeled an “absconder” after violating the program's regulations, as revealed by internal Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) documents.

During his illegal residence in the US, Moreno became notorious for his belligerent TikTok videos, in which he shouts at the audience and encourages other immigrants to partake in opportunistic and antisocial behaviors.

Despite the virality, Moreno's TikTok profile was no longer accessible as of Thursday, with the New York Post reporting his boasting about earning significant amounts through the platform. His Instagram, however, remained active, showcasing his flaunting of wealth.

Moreno's outspoken views extended to his work ethic and perception of the American Dream.

“I don’t like to work,” Moreno shared with his followers, emphasizing the pursuit of wealth without traditional employment. “Work is for slaves, boys. Remember that work is for slaves. Where have you seen a millionaire work? Don’t humiliate yourself… You have to be creative to ask for money,” he advised. Moreno also affectionately referred to President Joe Biden as “mi papa” in his social media posts.
