A team of University of Michigan researchers recently discovered that the amount of copper needed to keep up with the manufactured demand created by the globalist E.V. agenda is “essentially impossible” to generate. On May 16th, Engineering and Technology published an article by Tanya Weaver which covered the results of the new study:
Copper cannot be mined quickly enough to keep up with current policies requiring the transition to electric vehicles (EVs), according to a University of Michigan study.

The study found that renewable energy’s copper needs would outstrip what copper mines can produce at the current rate. Between 2018 and 2050, the world will need to mine 115% more copper than has been mined in all of human history up until 2018 just to meet current copper needs without considering the green energy transition.
To meet the copper needs of electrifying the global vehicle fleet, as many as six new large copper mines must be brought online annually over the next several decades. About 40% of the production from new mines will be required for EV-related grid upgrades.

1. The Trump tax law was one of the biggest middle-class tax cuts in U.S. history. The Trump Treasury Department calculated that the average family of four saves roughly $2,000 a year. This means, sorry, Joe, repealing the bill would raise taxes for most families making less than $400,000. The House Budget Committee has estimated that the typical family will pay $1,500 more taxes annually if Biden repeals the Trump tax cut.
2. The Trump tax cuts vastly simplified the tax code for the majority of Americans. A major feature of the bill was to double the standard deduction from $12,500 to $25,000. As a result, prior to the Trump tax cuts, about one-third of tax filers had to itemize their deductions and keep track for the IRS of shoe boxes of receipts and other transactions related to mortgage payments, charitable deductions, interest payments and so on. Now nearly 90% of Americans — and almost all middle-and lower-income families — just check a box of the standard deduction.
3. The Trump tax bill forces millionaires and billionaires in blue states to pay their fair share of taxes. One of the smartest features of the Trump bill was to cap the deduction of state and local taxes for the super-rich. This allowed millionaires and billionaires in blue states like New York and California to pay billions of dollars less in taxes than an equally wealthy tax filer in low-tax states like Florida and Texas. The old law encouraged states and localities to raise their taxes because it shifted the federal tax burden on to residents of other states.
4. The Trump tax cut expanded the economy and business activity, which ended up RAISING tax revenues. A study by Heritage Foundation fiscal analyst Preston Brashers examines the impact of the Trump tax cuts after four years and found that the policy changes actually raised MORE revenue in its first four years than the Congressional Budget Office predicted without the tax cut. The House Budget Committee similarly concluded in a May 2024 analysis:
“The Trump tax cuts resulted in economic growth that was a full percentage point above CBO's forecast.” Revenues were $200 billion a year MORE than was predicted before the tax cuts.
5. The rich paid more, not less taxes after the Trump tax cut. Biden says continually that the major reason the deficit has exploded is that Trump cut taxes on the rich. Wrong. Five years after the Trump tax cuts, the IRS' own data show the top 1% of earners in America saw their percentage of total income taxes collected rise from 40% to 46% of the total in 2022. This was the LARGEST share of taxes paid by the rich EVER.
The truth is, almost all the negative claims that Democrats made in opposing the Trump tax cuts in 2017 were proven to be fallacious. Rather than admit that they were wrong, they've doubled down in their commitment to policies that would raise taxes on virtually every American corporation, small business, family and investor. Perhaps the theme for the Biden campaign should be “Putting America Last.”

Election Watch claimed in its complaint to have identified thousands of ultra-small-dollar donations made in the names of hundreds of mostly elderly donors, none of whom had any idea that they had made such donations when a private investigator asked about them.
“The Federal Election Commission states the average number of political donations an individual makes, if donating, is 1.4 per year,” the complaint against Janet for Justice alleges. “239 [donors] donated more than 10 times [each] to Janet for Justice.”

Taiwan’s parliament passed a package of controversial bills on Tuesday to expand its power as thousands of disapproving protesters rallied outside and chanted “defend democracy”.
Proponents say expanded parliamentary powers are needed to curb corruption but critics fear the laws could weaken the self-ruled island’s democracy against the influence of China, which claims it as part of its territory.
New Taiwan President Lai Ching-te represents the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), which advocates for the island’s sovereignty but lost its majority in parliament in January elections.
The bills were proposed by the Kuomintang (KMT), Taiwan’s largest opposition party that is widely regarded as friendlier to Beijing, and passed with the support of the upstart Taiwan People’s Party on Tuesday after several sessions.
Among the amendments passed was one requiring the president to hold a “State of a Nation” address to parliament and answer legislators’ questions, a first for Taiwan.
The parliament can now also exercise its “power of investigation”, requiring government agencies, military units, private companies or relevant individuals to provide information.
China has reportedly been making significant preparations for a full-scale invasion of Taiwan, according to The Telegraph.
This preparation includes not only military vessels but also an unusual incorporation of civilian ferries, hinting at a large-scale invasion strategy.

Democrats are so desperate to keep the Supreme Court from torpedoing their lawfare efforts against former President Donald Trump that members like Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., are openly vowing to launch a coordinated attack on the judicial branch if they don’t get their way.
Last week, The New York Times published a smear piece on Justice Samuel Alito “to indict the conservative judge as a partisan ideologue corrupted by far-right politics” all because an “Appeal to Heaven” flag flew outside his New Jersey beach home last year, my colleague Tristan Justice explained. The story came days after another hit piece alleged Alito was compromised because of an upside-down American flag flown by his wife.
Raskin pounced on the stories, however, arguing on MSNBC that if Alito doesn’t “heed the calls to recuse himself from the [Jan. 6-related] case,” there should be a federal ethics panel made up of circuit judges to which Raskin and other Democrats can whine and undermine the Supreme Court any time they don’t get their way. This is in addition to House Democrats’ newly announced task force, of which Raskin is a member, that exists to overhaul the court through legislation and rhetoric.
Raskin took his attacks one step further, last week encouraging Americans to “fall out of love” with the Supreme Court and arguing the institution can only be trusted once Democrats have control of its operations.
Fellow Democrat Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse reiterated Raskin’s message in a post on X saying, “Yes we will, brother. Yes we will.”
Alexander Hamilton warned in Federalist 78, the judicial branch “is in continual jeopardy of being overpowered, awed, or influenced” if tied to either the executive or legislative branch.
“Though individual oppression may now and then proceed from the courts of justice, the general liberty of the people can never be endangered from that quarter; I mean so long as the Judiciary remains truly distinct from both the Legislature and the Executive,” Hamilton wrote. “And it proves, in the last place, that as liberty can have nothing to fear from the Judiciary alone, but would have everything to fear from its union with either of the other departments.”

Cohen also testified about his anger at having his 2016 bonus reduced by the Trump Organization, prompting him to reach an agreement with CFO Alan Weisselberg for a $420,000 payment that also allegedly included the $130,000 paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels. However, Blanche argued, there is no documentation or additional testimony to corroborate any statements Cohen outlined about the meeting.
“The idea that President Trump would agree to pay (Michael) Cohen $420,000” even though he only owed him $130,000 “is absurd,” Blanche said, according to CNN. “That’s what Mr. Cohen wants you to believe happened in that meeting where Mr. Weisselberg walked in with that piece of paper and supposedly showed it to President Trump. That is absurd,” Blanche adds, placing extra emphasis on the last three words.
Blanche added that former Trump Organization controller Jeffrey McConney testified “nobody would know” when it came to the discrepancy.
“The witnesses who actually testified in this courtroom: One says I don’t know and I didn’t care,” and the other said nobody would know, Blanche argued. Holding up a bank statement summing up the payment, he added. “The point of this document is, it contains lies. Again, you have to accept — if you accept Mr. Cohen’s version of what happened — that they were all in this together,” Blanche says of Cohen, Weisselberg, and Trump.
Rather than focusing on the facts, Blanche said prosecutors would rather the jury believe that a deal on the hush money repayment plan was struck in the Oval Office during an early 2017 meeting between Cohen and Trump. “It was a big day. He told you that he’s going to the Oval Office for the first time in his life meeting his boss,” Blanche said. “That’s what he wants you to believe.” However, six days later Cohen asked McConney in an email how much the payment would be. “Just six days later Cohen doesn’t even know how much it’s supposed to be,” Blanche continued, poking holes in prosecutors’ arguments that Trump personally ordered the payment.
Neither did Trump Organization employees attempt to hide the payment, according to Blanche, pointing out that McConney would likely have destroyed the records if they were evidence of a crime. “He didn’t get rid of them, he didn’t try to destroy them,” the defense lawyer argued. Similarly, President Trump disclosed the payment to the Office of Government Ethics.
“How can it be that there was any intent to defraud by President Trump when he discloses it to the IRS, he tweets about it and he submits it on his Office of Government Ethics forms?” Blanche asked.

Nearly half of voters – including a majority of Democrats – think it’s OK for the Democratic Party to replace President Joe Biden with some other candidate.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 49% of Likely U.S. Voters would approve of Democrats finding another candidate to replace Biden before the election in November, including 24% who Strongly Approve. Thirty-seven percent (37%) would disapprove of Democrats ditching Biden, including 23% who Strongly Disapprove. Another 13% are not sure. These findings have changed only slightly since February.
