AGAIN?? Foreign trucker "wearing a turban" detained for ICE after running red light, killing Indiana man

No matter how many times we may think that they can't keep doing this, it appears that they can.

Another week, another fatal traffic accident involving a foreign-born truck driver. This time in Indiana.

This is a story we've heard … how many times now?

More on the story from Fox 59 in Indianapolis:

The preliminary investigation found that three vehicles were reportedly involved. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a news release from the Hendricks County Sheriff's Office, a Freightliner semi-truck with a trailer was reportedly traveling eastbound on U.S. 36 when it allegedly ran the red light at the intersection. The truck reportedly struck a Chevrolet truck travelling northbound.

The release said the impact caused the Chevrolet to strike a Chrysler that was in the left turn lane traveling westbound on U.S. 36.

The occupant of the Chevrolet, identified as 64-year-old Terry Schultz, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other individuals were transported to an area hospital.

Any fatal traffic crash is a horrible incident, but the report tossed in another glaring detail…

Officials with the Hendricks County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Indiana State Police assisted with the crash investigation. HCSO also indicated that ISP detained one of the drivers involved in the incident on behalf of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Annnnnnnnnnnd there we go.

At the time of this writing, law enforcement has been slow to release details, but internet sleuths are already on the case.

Locals provided additional details:

Sikhs now make up a large percentage of the American and Canadian trucking industry. Men wear turbans as part of their religion.

There have been several high-profile crashes caused by Sikh/Indian drivers in recent months.

What's the bet that the truck driver ends up being the latest in the infuriatingly long line of fatality-causing truckers who shouldn't be on the road (or in the country)?

Stay tuned.
