EXCLUSIVE: Gun YouTuber Brandon Herrera Outraises Democrat Opponent’s Entire Campaign In First 45 Days Of Q3

Republican Texas congressional candidate Brandon Herrera's campaign committee has out-raised his opponent's whole campaign in less than one quarter, according to documents reviewed by the Daily Caller.

Herrera, who is running against Democratic Texas congressional candidate Katy Stout, reported raising $484,915.03 for his campaign committee, while ending the period with $171,372.78 in cash on hand. (RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: Poll Shows Brandon Herrera Overtaking Tony Gonzales In Key House Primary)

In contrast, Herrera's broader fundraising operation brought in an additional $544,459 through the Brandon Herrera Victory Fund, $59,124.19 through Brandon Herrera for Congress and another $14,000 through an allied PAC, according to the documents reviewed.

In relation to Stout's campaign, Herrera spent "very little on fundraising expenses," according to documents reviewed by the Caller, directing much of his campaign funds toward defending the seat previously held by Republican Texas Rep. Tony Gonzales.

Herrera initially faced Gonzales in March, but Gonzales later dropped his reelection bid after acknowledging an affair with a staffer who later died after setting herself on fire. Gonzales withdrew after Herrera forced a runoff by finishing ahead of him in the primary. (RELATED: Rep. Gonzales To Resign After GOP Did Nothing For Months)

The Herrera campaign also made a $1.7 million reservation for broadcast and cable television advertising across the district, according to the documents.

Regarding his campaign's average donation, Herrera told the Caller, "Our average donation is $83, and I will forever be grateful to the small-dollar donors for supporting my campaign."

"These are the people who would bear the brunt of Katy Stout's tax increases and open border crime wave," Herrera continued. "And in Washington, DC, I will be their champion."
