FBI searches Los Angeles Unified School District headquarters, superintendent's home

The FBI on Wednesday searched the headquarters of the Los Angeles Unified School District and the district superintendent's home, according to Justice Department officials.

A DOJ spokesperson in Los Angeles told KTLA that law enforcement is executing a “judicially approved” search warrant at the locations but declined to provide further details.

The FBI also said that agents are serving a court-authorized warrant, explaining that the affidavit supporting the warrant has been sealed by the court and no additional information could be released.

It remains unclear whether LAUSD Superintendent Alberto Carvalho has been accused of any wrongdoing, as authorities have not said what prompted the warrants.
