Canadian hair salon fined by Human Rights Tribunal for forcing "non-binary" customer to choose male or female haircut

Canadian hair salon fined by Human Rights Tribunal for forcing "non-binary" customer to choose male or female haircut

Sometimes I can't believe that Canada is a real country.

In this fantasyland you get to be whatever gender you want, or no gender at all, and if anyone refuses to go along with the delusions they have to go before a tribunal.

The Orwellian world of Montreal:

Choosing between a men's and a women's haircut is seriously harmful because, of course, no one should have to identify with a gender. That's just nonsense.

Here's Radio Canada (Google translated from French to English):

'It's surreal,' reacted Alexis Labrecque, co-owner of Station10, which has three salons in Montreal and Longueuil. 'We were shocked. We couldn't believe we had to go to court for this,' he told Radio-Canada in an interview.

For his part, Alexe Frédéric Migneault welcomes a symbolic victory that will give weight to future requests of this kind: There will be a path that will already have been laid out.

The story is actually insane. The "incident" took place in 2023 and the Alexe, who claims to be "non-binary" was upset that there were only options for men's and women's haircuts and did not want to be misgendered.

After the complaint, in 2024, the salon even added a non-binary option to the website for those booking appointments.

But that wasn't enough. Alexe sued.

On June 13, 2024, the CDPDJ acknowledges that Alexe Frédéric Migneault was a victim of discrimination based on gender identity . It suggests that Station10 pay $500 to the complainant as a remedial measure , failing which the company risks being sued.

But the owners of the hair salon refuse to pay. Alexe Frédéric Migneault then takes the case to the Human Rights Tribunal.

The complainant alleges that the discrimination suffered deteriorated their mental health, which precipitated their leave from work and contributed to their suicidal thoughts.

Seriously?

"If you don't offer non-binary options I will kill myself!"

The salon countersued for $5k in damages and abuse of court services, but lost. The court also rejected a $12.5k suit from Alexe for emotional damages, but still upheld the original $500 fine to be paid by the salon to the offended party.

And this was all after Alexe performed four separate hunger strikes that year, 2023, to demand the government let her change her gender marker on her insurance ID card.

And Canada continues to bend reality to suit this "non-binary" nonsense.

The best part of this story is that Alexe is apparently just totally bald. A total cue ball.

She seems like a nice guy though:

Canada cannot be a real place.
