When you're answering back to your constituents ... tell them that these are not the drivers of MAID. The people that are getting MAID are very, very privileged, they're white, they're well off, they're highly educated, they're not in institutions, they have families. So the picture of it is one of privilege.

It doesn't mean we don't want to look after the people who are vulnerable.

The message is to stop the scaremongering about Canada euthanizing the poor and homeless.

Instead, we are told that being murdered by the government is actually another example of rich white privilege!

Dr. Downie is a law professor who was testifying before Canada's Special Joint Committee on MAID. The clip was resurfaced by journalist Cosmin Dzsurdzsa, who replied to The Daily Wire's Matt Walsh this week on the topic of assisted "suicide."

According to Health Canada's 2024 MAID report, 96% of people suicided by their government are white, compared to 70% of the population.

Instead of asking why wealthy white Canadians are more prone to want to end their lives, the "experts" are apparently more focused on the idea of racial privilege and equity.
