UPDATE: Federal Judge RELEASES World War II Memorial Vandal

The deranged woman who disgracefully vandalized the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. has just been set free.

Despite the DOJ’s request to keep her held as a flight risk, U.S. Magistrate Judge Matthew J. Sharbaugh released 41-year-old Melissa Farris.

She is now out of custody, pending her next court hearing on September 3rd.

Fox News covered the latest update in this clip:

Even more infuriatingly, Melissa Farris was cut loose without having to post bond.

The judge did, however, impose certain conditions for her release.

WJLA reported:

The court ordered Farris to submit to supervision through the Pretrial Services Agency for the Northern District of Ohio no later than Aug. 20. She was also ordered to surrender any passport and not obtain a new passport or other international travel document.

Under the conditions of her release, the court must approve any travel outside the continental United States.

The order also requires Farris to stay out of Washington, D.C., except for court or Pretrial Services Agency business. She must stay away from the Veterans Memorial and report to the Pretrial Services Agency for a mental health screening and possible connection to mental health services if necessary.

Farris must also verify her address with Pretrial Services and sign required releases of information.

The court’s standard conditions prohibit Farris from violating federal, state or local law while on release and require her to appear for future court proceedings.

Court records show Farris was released on a personal recognizance bond, meaning the bond was not secured by cash or property.

Melissa Farris has confessed to defacing the WWII Memorial.

She didn’t even try to hide it or cover it up.

In fact, she proudly livestreamed herself vandalizing the memorial and told followers to make her look “fancy” before eventually turning herself in.
