U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) recently dedicated a portion of a campaign rally to a vitriolic attack on the Trump administration.
In response, the White House once again demonstrated its willingness to fight fire with fire.
According to The Hill:
White House communications director Steven Cheung said Ossoff "has to be the biggest … loser in politics" and referred to the lawmaker using a crude play on his last name.
"Instead of denigrating hard-working people serving their country, Jon should look deep into his soul and ask himself why he's a miserable person who hates this country," Cheung wrote on social platform X.
"It's because he's a radical, extremist Dumocrat," he continued, using Trump's nickname for Democrats.
Later in the same article:
Trump was asked about the critique during an Oval Office event Monday.
"You mean Pee-wee Herman?" the president quipped, referencing the character comedian Paul Reubens portrayed for years.
White House spokesperson Davis Ingle also fired back at Ossoff on Monday, calling the lawmaker a "cringeworthy, feminine theatre kid cosplaying as [former President] Barack Obama."
Here's some of the social media discussion that resulted:
More on X:
Ossoff acts like a guy who was just told his ruse of an election in 2020 is about to be revealed and he’s trying to deflect from that revelation — which to many, was already known since 2021.

The New York Post added these details:
Ossoff, who is running against Rep. Mike Collins (R-Ga.) in November and has been floated as a possible 2028 Democratic presidential primary contender, also took issue with Trump's handling of the economy and the Iran war.
The senator accused Trump of "lying" the country into war with Iran, which he described as "uniquely despicable."
"While the sailors on the Lincoln fight his war, while he fruitlessly drains our munitions and oil reserves, the president sleeps through his meetings," Ossoff charged, going on to slam the president for his frequent golf outings and accusing him of trading stocks.
