President Trump on Monday welcomed hero lifeguard Ryder Williams to the Oval Office after the teen saved a little boy's life.

16-year-old Ryder Williams saved a 10-year-old boy from drowning in violent waves in Santa Cruz, California, last month.

Ryder Williams repeatedly ducked under the whitewash as waves continued to crash on him during the rescue.

Bystanders tried to rush into the shore break to help the lifeguard pull the boy out of the churning water.

The teen lifeguard held onto the drowning child and would not let him go.

After the video of the rescue went viral online, President Trump announced he will bring Ryder Williams to the White House and award him a High Civilian Honor.

"We're going to bring this heroic young man, and his family, into the White House with, perhaps, the boy he saved, to give him a High Civilian Honor. Very brave, he deserves it! President DONALD J. TRUMP," the president said last month.

Ryder Williams and his family met with President Trump at the White House on Monday.

The 10-year-old boy – Nathaniel Rai – and his father – also met with Trump in the Oval Office.

"It's an honor to be with Ryder Williams. I understand he was a winner from the first time they saw him as a lifeguard," President Trump said. "He saved this young gentleman who I had a long talk with."

"You're gonna have a long and beautiful life," Trump said.
