Kyle Sandilands has been ordered to go to court to battle his massive fallout with a luxury building company over the $6million castle-like mansion he still can't sell.
The radio star has been listed for a special fixture hearing before a judge next month to fight against a claim by the builders of the million-dollar mansion renovation of his Glenorie estate in north-west Sydney.
Alter Build Co Pty Ltd, a boutique construction company based in Sydney, claims Sandilands owes it $240,000 for bathroom, kitchen and laundry works on the six-bedroom, five-bathroom property.
The former FM radio king has refused to pay unless the builder can justify the bill, saying the project blew well past the budget he had set when embarking on the extravagant refurbishment of a gutted 1970s house on the acreage site.
Sued by Alter Build in a civil Statement of Claim, Sandilands was ordered in the NSW District Court on Friday to file his defence within 28 days, ahead of a hearing set down for late November.
The renovations in question are of a property called Kingsview Estate that Sandilands purchased for $3million in 2022.
Last year, Alter Build Co, a two-decade-old construction company headed by Andrew Kabourakis and William Teixeira, fenced off the site to undertake the renovation projects.
The end result was a two-storey Georgian-style house with a circular driveway leading to its porte-cochère.

Alter Build claims Sandilands owes $240,000 in unpaid renovations on the six-bedroom, five-bathroom mansion which he has failed to sell despite a massive price cut
Located on a 9,580sqm block in Sydney's semi-rural north-west, it was intended as a family home.
At the time of purchase, the then king of FM radio was just weeks away from welcoming his first child, Otto, with wife Tegan Kynaston.
The elegant new white house, which Sandilands once proudly said was in the style of Elvis Presley's Graceland mansion, replaced a brick home the one-time KIIS-FM star described as 'ugly as a hatful of a***holes'.
Sandilands initially listed the property earlier this year with price expectations of $5.7million to $5.9million before later reducing the guide to $4.9million.
Alter Build claims that Sandilands signed a building contract with an agreed cost and payment schedule.
The Statement of Claim alleges he failed to pay within the terms of that agreement, while Sandilands said he stalled on payment as the agreed budget blew out.
He said he began questioning the billing and wanted to see evidence of approvals, along with the full payment schedule, before making any further payments.
'If I'm in the wrong, I'm happy to pay but if I'm not then I'm not paying,' Sandilands has stated.
Sandilands, whose 10-year $100million contract at KIIS-FM ended in March, took out a secondary $2million mortgage on the Glenorie estate reportedly carrying interest rates of more than 17 per cent

A year after buying the property, Sandilands and his then on-air co-host Jackie 'O' Henderson signed their industry-record 10-year contract with KIIS FM, worth a total of $200million.
It ended in March, when Sandilands was suspended by parent company ARN and terminated following remarks he made about Henderson.
In June, Sandilands settled Federal Court proceedings with ARN for nearly $14million, including a cash settlement of more than $12million and advertising services valued at $1.5million.
Sandilands took out a second $2million mortgage on the Glenorie estate through Mortgage Holdings Group, reportedly carrying interest rates of more than 17 per cent.
The house still has not sold despite the $800,000 price cut.
Alter Build Co has so far declined to comment. Judicial Registrar Matthew McDonald ordered Alter to file its submissions in the matter by November 17 for a half-day motions hearing the following week.
A special fixture is now set down before a judge in November.
