House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer on Thursday indicated that he might ask Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick to testify before the committee as part of his probe into Jeffrey Epstein and his associates.

Comer made the remarks ahead of the deposition of former first lady Hillary Clinton.
Lutnick has faced scrutiny over his own ties to Epstein and recently admitted to having visited his private island after Epstein pleaded guilty to sex trafficking of a minor.
He had previously denied maintaining any relationship with Epstein after 2005, but later admitted to a 2012 meeting, saying “I did have lunch with him as I was on a boat going across on a family vacation."
