GOP incumbent Governor Brad Little has won the Idaho gubernatorial election race, defeating Democrat opponent and attorney Terri Pickens.
On Tuesday, Little (R-Idaho) re-secured Idaho's governor's seat, earning 218,000 votes, while Pickens (D-Idaho) received 142,000 votes, according to the Associated Press. The race was called when 59% of the total votes were counted.
Little earned President Donald Trump's "complete and total endorsement" in June. The commander-in-chief highlighted Little's dedication and referred to him as a "strong and highly popular governor."

As Idaho's 33rd governor, Little has served his home state since January 2019. Drawing on extensive experience in ranching, agribusiness and banking, Little focused his re-election campaign on cutting red tape, strengthening education, supporting Idaho values and advancing "Operation No Return" to remove dangerous illegal aliens from local communities.
Pickens, a fourth-generation Idahoan, served as a public defender for Nez Perce County in Lewiston before transiting to a trial attorney. In 2008, she founded Pickens Law, P.A.
Her campaign focused on economic growth, workers' rights, public education and public lands.
