The event opened with a fireside chat between Daily Caller Senior Editor Amber Duke and Over 60 Association President Saul Anuzis, who warned that Medicaid fraud is hammering seniors.
“Fraud is a big deal for us,” Anuzis said. “As it’s passed on from federal government to state government … what’s being exposed is unbelievable. I think this investigation, from a policy standpoint, is critical.”

A second panel, moderated by Daily Caller Editor Thomas English, featured Abundance Institute Head of AI Policy Neil Chilson and former acting Health and Human Services Secretary Eric Hargan, wherein they examined artificial intelligence’s role in healthcare. Chilson acknowledged the technology faces a learning curve but urged practitioners to embrace it.
“Part of the challenge is that AI is such a general purpose technology,” Chilson said. “They haven’t been able to learn how to use it day to day. People should use this as an intelligence amplifier.”
Chilson said AI could democratize access to specialist-level care: “One of my greatest hopes from the healthcare space is that we can take the best knowledge that we have … and make sure that every doctor, every clinician, and every patient has that information so that you don’t necessarily have to reach across the country to a specialist.”
Hargan expressed confidence in current HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s approach to AI in healthcare.
“I don’t think they will be scared of this in a way that you might have seen with my generation,” he said.
