An Alaska Airlines flight scheduled to depart from Miami International Airport on Sunday entered emergency protocols after alleged threats from passengers.
“Multiple passengers onboard Alaska Airlines flight 305 at Miami International Airport have threatened the flight attendants, including one saying they are going to take over the aircraft. The plane, headed to Seattle, never took off and has returned to the gate,” talk show host Andy Slater said.
“The flight attendants have received threats from customers on board the aircraft,” one of the pilots said on air traffic control audio.
The pilot said to “absolutely” contact law enforcement.

“Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office says after an investigation, the threat was determined not to be credible,” Slater said.
The two individuals involved were booked on another flight.
“This was ‘see something, say something’ by a flight attendant that turned out to be nothing, an aviation source tells me. The two people who were questioned are in the air to Seattle on their rebooked flight. The Alaska flight was just cancelled due to crew time limits,” Slater added.

The controller then tells pilots to return to the gate, and "we're going to have law enforcement standing by."
Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Airport District deputies responded to the gate where the plane returned, according to WBFS.
CNN has reached out to Alaska Airlines, the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office and the Federal Aviation Administration.
The Miami International Airport directed us to the airline and sheriff's office.
Once the aircraft was cleared, passengers were permitted to reboard and the flight continued without further incident, it said.
According to Flightradar24, the flight was scheduled to depart at 6:29 p.m. on Sunday night, however it returned to the gate minutes later. It departed at around 8:45 p.m.
“The plane was forced to go into a lockdown protocol and passengers were temporarily deplaned,” CBS News noted.

The pilot also told controllers the aircraft’s engine was being shut down.
A post from ATCapp, an air traffic control tracking service that published audio of the incident, reported that multiple passengers had allegedly threatened flight attendants and that the aircraft was returning to the gate to meet law enforcement.
CBS News Miami has not independently confirmed the circumstances surrounding the reported threats.
