A lot of Democrats, many with confirmed cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome, already are members, and now U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., has joined the Democrat agenda that demands putting everyone they hate in jail.

And constitutional expert Jonathan Turley has a backfire warning.

“What is clear is that the Democratic Party has now decided to try to ride the rage wave to power, leading the mob with such reckless rhetoric. In ‘Rage and the Republic: The Unfinished Story of the American Revolution,’ I explore the rise of what I call the ‘new Jacobins,’ establishment figures who are calling for radical changes to our constitutional system and for retaliation against political opponents. It is a book about revolutions and how they can consume those who start them.

He wrote, “These Democratic politicians will learn this lesson from history that they are likely to be devoured by the very mobocracy that they are unleashing through rage politics.”

U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn.

Murphy’s agenda of destruction came just as President Donald Trump delivered his 2026 State of the Union, a speech that was supported by vast numbers of Americans.

Murphy went on MS NOW, Turley reported, “to feed the rage addiction that has taken over his party.” “Before the State of the Union, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) joined other leaders in promising Americans that the Democrats will unleash a revenge tour after taking power in November, pledging to start throwing Trump people in jail when they retake Congress.”

Others already in that camp, Turley reported, include Susan Rice, who said, “When it comes to the elites, you know, the corporate interests, the law firms, the universities, the media … it’s not going to end well for them.”

He pointed out Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner promised to “hunt down” ICE officers like “Nazis.”

And Democratic strategist James Carville has threatened that “collaborators” may be treated in the same way as they were after World War II.

Even the scandal-plagued Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, who has called ICE officers “Gestapo,” said that this may be our “Fort Sumter” moment, a confrontation that triggered the Civil War.

“Democratic members have been warned that they have to join the mob or be devoured by it. Bravo star and liberal podcast host Jennifer Welch praised footage of a ‘No Kings’ protester celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk. After playing the clip, Welch laughed with joy and declared, ‘So listen up, Democratic establishment. You can either jump on board with this s—, or we’re coming after you in the same way that we come after MAGA. Period,'” Turley explained.

Democrats routinely label Trump, Republicans and their supporters as “Nazis” and “fascists,” and Turley cited Murphy’s threat, “They’re going to get their clocks cleaned this November, and a bunch of people are probably gonna end up going to jail.”

The wild claims, Turley noted, are outside of reality, as, “It is a curious pledge, since the Democrats could retake the House and Senate in November. That would not give them the ability to throw people into jail even if they had actual crimes to charge.”

It was commentator Brit Hume who pointed out how far the Democrats have strayed from reality, specifically with their hate of Trump and his supporters, and their boycott of the State of the Union.

Social media concluded, “While President Trump delivers real results and unites the country with wins for hardworking folks, the left throws tantrums like spoiled kids taking their ball and going home. They can’t stand seeing America succeed under strong leadership, so they sulk on the sidelines. But guess what? The American people see through it, cheer the victories, and keep putting patriots like Trump in charge. This is what losing looks like – desperate, childish, and completely out of touch with the greatness we’re rebuilding.”
