Alleged Irish Organized Crime Boss Daniel Kinahan Extradited to Dublin from Dubai

LONDON (AP) – The alleged leader of an Irish organized crime gang is on his way back to Ireland from Dubai to face charges that he ran an international drug smuggling and money laundering empire with tentacles that stretched to Britain, Spain and the U.S.

An Irish military plane carrying Daniel Kinahan, 49, is expected to land Sunday evening at an airport outside of Dublin after courts in the United Arab Emirates refused to block his extradition, Irish media reported.

Kinahan is expected to be taken directly to the Special Criminal Court in Dublin where he will face charges of directing an organized crime group, Irish broadcaster RTE reported. He will then be held at the high-security Portlaoise Prison about 90 miles (145 kilometers) southwest of the capital.

Ireland’s Special Criminal Court handles all organized crime and terrorism cases, as well as others where prosecutors believe the ordinary courts are inadequate to ensure the “effective administration of justice.” Cases are heard by a panel of three judges without a jury.

Irish media report that a huge security operation is underway to ensure Kinahan faces justice. It will include armed

El-Sayed Calls Trump an 'Overlord' in Tirade About President's 'Rocky Road' Marriage

On Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Michigan Democratic Senate Candidate Abdul El-Sayed said President Donald Trump is an “overlord,” with a marriage on a “rocky road.”

Host Jake Tapper said, “Speaking of President Trump, last night he posted on social media a photograph of him and First Lady Melania Trump in formal attire. Next to a photograph of you and your and your wife. You appear to be in a in a restaurant booth or something. Your wife is a psychiatrist. She’s wearing a hijab. The caption was two very different Americans. What was your response when you saw that?”

El-Sayed said, “Yeah, he’s right. One in which your overlords are two people who don’t like each other, but joined in the interest of making billions of dollars off of you or two people who genuinely like, love each other, enjoyed some pancakes together, want to come together to build the kind of America where they can raise a family. And know that that family is going to have the good things. So, yes, you got two different visions of America. Donald Trump’s vision is the one you’re living in right now. Can you afford

Utah Police: Man with Shotgun Shot, Killed by Gas Station Bystander

A man who reportedly became angry after being denied alcohol entered a Riverton, Utah, convenience store Friday with a shotgun and was shot dead by a bystander.

KUTV reported the man entered the convenience store and was denied an alcohol sale because he did not have identification. He allegedly responded by confronting the clerk and was then coaxed out of the store by other customers.

KSL noted the man had become “argumentative” and “belligerent” before having to leave the store. He then got into his vehicle and drove around, only to circle back to the store and enter carrying a shotgun, according to the report.

The Gephardt Daily pointed out that an armed bystander engaged the man when he re-entered the store, fatally shooting him. One report indicated that two armed bystanders may have fired at the man.

Riverton public information officer Nate Slack observed, “I think this is why a lot of people do conceal carry just to protect themselves in situations like this. Obviously a very unfortunate situation, but they do occur; they are rare, however, especially here in Riverton.”

VIDEO: Florida Business Owners Accused of Dumping 1,500 Toxic Mothballs on Beach to Deter 'Imperiled' Birds

A pair of business owners in St. Petersburg, Florida, are accused of using 1,500 mothballs to deter “state-listed imperiled” birds from nesting on St. Pete Beach, an area behind their businesses.

The suspects were identified as Christopher Monroe, owner and manager of Chris's Beachside Bar, and Robert Czyszczon, owner of the Plaza Beach Hotel, Fox News reported Saturday.

“Monroe and Czyszczon were charged with illegal dumping, a third-degree felony, according to Pinellas County court records. They also were charged with the ‘attempted take of a state-listed imperiled species by harassment,’ a misdemeanor, according to FWC officials,” according to the report, which noted that the suspects, if convicted, “could each face up to five years in prison, fines of up to $5,000 and up to five years of probation,”

Authorities began investigating in April when people visiting the area found mothballs on the beach, prompting officers with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC)

WATCH — Fisherman Discovers Ancient Roman Shipwreck and Piles of Cargo Off Sicily's Coast: 'A Piece of Our History'

A shipwreck believed to be over 2,000 years old has been discovered off the coast of Sicily near Mazara del Vallo, and the site features incredible items from the Roman period.

A fisherman and free-diver named Giacomo De Mola initially found the site while surveying the seabed, the BBC reported Sunday.

When his scanner located what he thought was a rock, he decided to dive in to get closer. He quickly realized it was a historical gold mine with hundreds of ceramic jars knowns as amphorae that were used to carry wine, oil, or grains during ancient times.

A photo shows the jars piled on top of each other on the sea floor:

Specialist police divers later found the ship about 150 feet underwater, and the wreckage measured nearly 70 feet long and 20 feet wide.

According to Italy’s Culture Minister Alessandro Giuli, the site was “one of the most important underwater archaeological discoveries of recent

Trump Says U.S. Is ‘Low Keying’ Iran as Economic Pressure Mounts

President Donald Trump said Sunday the United States is "low keying" its approach to Iran, signaling he is prepared for now to let mounting economic pressure squeeze Tehran rather than launch another major military offensive.

"We are low keying it," Trump said in a brief phone interview with Axios. "We are only semi-negotiating with them. We are just watching Iran with its huge inflation and the fact they have no money."

Trump said Iran is "in very bad shape" economically and lacks the money to pay its troops, pointing to the U.S. naval blockade as further intensifying the regime's economic crisis.

At the same time, the president noted that oil prices have fallen to just above $75 a barrel, reducing the conflict's economic impact on American consumers as Washington waits to see whether Tehran will bend.

"It will work out. It always works out. It's like a chess game," Trump told the outlet.

The comments mark a notably measured posture from Trump just one week after he was considering a return to major combat operations against Iran. Axios reported that the president ultimately decided against another major escalation for

DOJ: Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Agrees to End Sex Change Drugs for Minors

The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Wednesday announced that Connecticut Children’s Medical Center has agreed to no longer give sex change drugs to minors.

As part of the agreement with the DOJ, the medical center will also “pay a monetary penalty” and dedicate an extra $500,000 in medical care for individuals harmed by sex-mutilating drugs, the agency noted in a statement. DOJ said the resolution arose from its ongoing investigation into potential violations of federal law connected to sex change drugs and surgeries for minors.

"The Department of Justice will stop at nothing to protect America's children," Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward said in a statement. "This resolution is a reminder to hospitals, medical providers, and pharmaceutical companies that the Justice Department will vigorously enforce federal law, especially where the lives of children are endangered."

The DOJ noted that Connecticut Children’s “took significant steps entitling it to credit for cooperation with the Department in its investigation.” The agency said the medical center “remained cooperative, proactive, and solution-driven” throughout the entire investigation, qualities highlighted “by its financial commitment to providing restorative care to the victims who desperately

DOT Sec. Sean Duffy Makes English a Permanent Requirement for Nation's Migrant Truckers

Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has announced changes to U.S. regulations that would require commercial truckers to be able to speak and read English.

Duffy made his announcement on Friday in a post on X, which reported that English proficiency will now become a permanent requirement.

“Today, I am proposing to lock English proficiency rules into federal regulations FOR GOOD — so no future administration can ever undo them,” Duffy wrote on X.

“Barack Obama weakened this rule and allowed illegal truckers onto our highways, but THAT IS NOT HAPPENING AGAIN,” he adamantly continued.

“Over 26,000 unqualified drivers have already been pulled off the road. GET READY FOR MANY, MANY MORE,” Duffy concluded.

Duffy’s X post also contained a video of an official asking a trucker to identify U.S. road signs,

Report: Establishment Democrats Pressure Alani Bankhead's Family to Push Her Out of Montana Senate Race

Establishment Democrats have reportedly been pressuring the family of Alani Bankhead in order to push her into dropping out of the Montana Senate race so independent Seth Bodnar can step in.

As Breitbart News reported in July, Seth Bodnar, who has the backing of former Democrat Montana Sen. Jon Tester, has been actively weighing whether or not to stay in the race prior to the August 10 deadline.

“Independent Montana Senate candidate Seth Bodnar could withdraw from the state's U.S. Senate race before the Aug. 10 filing deadline if Democrat nominee Alani Bankhead remains on the ballot,” said the report.

“Republican strategists and political operatives told Breitbart News that Bodnar's campaign has struggled to gain traction despite spending by both the campaign and an allied super PAC,” it added.

Over the weekend, NPR noted that Democrats have been scrambling to pressure Bankhead to leave the race in the hopes of paving the way for Bodnar.

“Bankhead won the state primary, but both voters and some prominent Democrats are pressuring her to drop out of the race to make room for a prominent independent candidate, Seth Bodnar,

Sports Illustrated Blasted for 'Karma' Headline Suggesting Sophie Cunningham Deserved Flagrant Foul

One of the nation’s top sports chronicles, Sports Illustrated, is under fire for pushing out a headline insisting that WNBA star Sophie Cunningham deserved to be bashed in the face on the court because of her support of women-only sports.

The outrageous SI headline came after Cunningham suffered a fragrant clothesline foul on Saturday, when Chicago Sky player DiJonai Carrington smacked Cunningham in the face while attempting to block Cunningham’s shot.

Carrington was handed a flagrant 2 foul for sending the Indiana Fever's Cunningham smashing to the floor during her successful layup in the first quarter of Saturday's game.

In reply to the incident, the magazine pushed out a story headlined, “Sophie Cunningham Got a Bitter Taste of Karma after Drawing Flagrant Foul in Fever-Sky.”

The headline says straight-out that Cunningham earned deserved “karma” because she opposes men who claim to be women playing in women’s sports. The Indiana Fever star had expressed her opinion in an interview with ESPN at the end of July.

The headline and accompanying story by writer Kristen Wong were immediately lambasted by furious Cunningham’s fans.

Hours later, the magazine quietly
