Ilhan Snaps Back At Trump After Bombshell Developments

Ilhan Snaps Back At Trump After Bombshell Developments

Rep. Ilhan Omar fired back at President Donald Trump on Friday, unleashing a blistering personal attack after the president demanded her resignation over newly reported federal court documents raising questions about her identity.

The Minnesota Democrat took to X to denounce Trump's accusations, accusing the president of spreading conspiracy theories and using the Justice Department to target political opponents.

Omar, one of Trump's most outspoken critics in Congress, did not hold back.

"The pedophile protection party's president is laundering right-wing conspiracy theories through the most corrupt DOJ in American history."

She then accused Trump of repeatedly targeting her whenever his administration faces negative headlines.

"Whenever the news turns bad, this creep reaches for one name: mine. So let's make it crystal clear. My name has always been Ilhan Omar."

But the Democratic congresswoman wasn't finished.

In a final jab, she turned her attention to Vice President JD Vance.

"Maybe you should focus on what your VP's real name is."

The fiery exchange comes after Trump called for Omar to immediately step down from Congress following reports that a federal court filing identified her under an alternative name.

The document, submitted by the office of U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro, reportedly refers to the congresswoman as "Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, a/k/a Ilhan Abdullahi Omar."

According to Fox News, the filing was submitted as prosecutors sought to keep documents sealed in connection with an Oct. 12 search of Omar's Washington, D.C., residence by Homeland Security Investigations agents.

Trump seized on the revelation during a Thursday rally in Iowa, suggesting the document showed Omar had used a false identity while serving in Congress.

"It was just revealed just a little while ago that … her name is not Ilhan Omar, the one that she used to get elected and sworn into Congress," Trump told supporters. "She used a fake name to be sworn in. I assume she must immediately have to resign from Congress."

The president also suggested Republicans could gain another seat in the House if Omar were forced out.

"The Republicans have just picked up a seat in the House."

However, the appearance of an alternative name in a court filing does not establish that Omar used a fraudulent identity or committed a crime.

The controversy has also reignited longstanding allegations surrounding Omar's former marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, whom critics have accused of being her brother.

Omar has repeatedly denied the accusation and rejected claims that the marriage was arranged to obtain immigration benefits.

During a Wednesday interview with MS NOW host Chris Hayes, the congresswoman described the allegations as "insane."

When asked whether she was related to her former husband, Omar answered, "Not to my knowledge."

That response has become another point of contention as questions about her family history and marriage records continue circulating.

Omar's office has strongly defended the congresswoman, dismissing Donald Trump's accusations and insisting that she has not misrepresented her identity.

"This is completely false. Ilhan Omar is her real name," a spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

The spokesperson also characterized the allegations as a "desperate smear" and called it "disgraceful that the media continues to give this lie oxygen."

Although investigators have searched Omar's residence, no publicly disclosed evidence has conclusively established that she married a relative or obtained immigration benefits fraudulently.

Meanwhile, the congresswoman's latest response has escalated an already bitter confrontation between two political adversaries.

Trump is demanding answers about Ilhan Omar's identity and congressional eligibility, while Omar is accusing the president of exploiting unproven allegations for political purposes.

With federal investigative activity continuing and neither side backing down, the dispute shows little sign of fading.

For now, the central allegations remain unproven, but the political feud between Trump and Omar has erupted into another highly public confrontation.
