A key Senate race is sharply dividing the Democrat party.
Several longtime Democrats have announced plans to vote against their party in Michigan’s U.S. Senate race between Republican Mike Rogers and highly-controversial Democrat Abdul El-Sayed.
The latest to break ranks is Jill Biden’s ex-Press Secretary Michael LaRosa, who just declared that he is endorsing Mike Rogers.

The Democrat running for the U.S. Senate in Michigan won’t or can’t stand up to the guy who says she “deserved” what she got that morning she showed up for work.
In that post, LaRosa is referencing El-Sayed’s connection to Hasan Piker, a far-left online influencer who frequently makes disgusting anti-American and antisemitic comments.

At the center of LaRosa's criticism is El-Sayed's association with Piker, who drew widespread condemnation after saying during a 2019 livestream that “America deserved 9/11.”
El-Sayed has campaigned alongside Piker and, when pressed about the remark, has argued that appearing with the streamer does not mean he endorses everything Piker has said.
For LaRosa, the controversy is deeply personal. He said the mother of his best friend died on Sept. 11 after jumping from the 95th floor of the World Trade Center rather than remain inside the burning building…
LaRosa's rebuke is about more than one Democrat refusing to back another.
It highlights a growing fault line within the party over extremism and the boundaries of acceptable political rhetoric. Those divisions could ultimately push some longtime Democrats across the aisle in consequential races.
Michael LaRosa is far from the only Democrat to support Republican Mike Rogers in the pivotal Senate race.
And, it’s easy to see why.
As it continues to embrace radical, socialist ideologies, the Democrat party is ostracizing longtime members who are not as far left.
LaRosa also posted this quote from an NYP op-ed on X:

It's an ideology that seeks the elimination of prisons, policing, borders, the Senate, the presidency, the Supreme Court and democratic free markets.
A worldview that aligns with genocidal jihadist movements like Hamas.
A generation ago, the left would've recognized this cadre as Trojan horse doing the bidding of our adversaries.
But not today.
And as working-class voters flee an increasingly toxic Democratic brand, the party's newfound embrace of anti-American extremists is likely to produce big losses nationally — and a civil war within.
In Michigan in particular, Rogers will frame a devastating portrait of El-Sayed that will further damage the party's deteriorating image.
El-Sayed parrots Sen. Bernie Sanders' delusion that attaches no importance to generating wealth — and only cares about redistributing it.
He expresses sympathy for Mideastern terrorist movements that masquerade as liberation efforts, giving cover to terror attacks on Jewish synagogues in the US ("hurt people hurt people") and going to absurd lengths to avoid offending supporters of Iran's slain Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
He doesn't believe the planet's only Jewish state has a right to exist.
Hasan Piker, his principal campaign surrogate, blames the US for 9/11 and professes his love for China's madman dictator Mao Zedong, who slaughtered millions of his own people.
Piker praised Hamas after the Oct. 7 massacre and cites every oppressive tyrant from Fidel Castro to Nicolas Maduro as his guiding lights.
Democrats can't run from this lunacy in November.
