A homemade wooden guillotine has been set up in a Minnesota yard as a Halloween display, complete with a headless figure holding a campaign pamphlet for Republican state House candidate Jessica L. Johnson.
Photos of the scene, first shared on X by Dustin Grage, show a tall wooden frame with a blade, a figure in a black hooded robe standing nearby, a skeleton, and a dead Republican.

A resident living in the same town posted that "A DFLer in my town made this guillotine display featuring the campaign lit of our local Republican State House candidate Jessica Johnson," adding that she has a Johnson campaign sign in her own front yard.

Johnson is the Republican nominee challenging Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) incumbent Josiah Hill in Minnesota House District 33B.
In 2018, the Minnesota DFL suspended a party spokesman for a week without pay after he posted on Facebook that Republicans should be brought "to the guillotines" after Election Day, according to a report from the Associated Press.
A Minnesota GOP account responded to the images of the Halloween setup, writing, "The left has a serious problem," and tagging the FBI and the agency's director, Kash Patel.

The home's owner has not been publicly identified at the time of publication.
Johnson has not yet publicly responded to the clear attempt to intimidate her voters and canvassers.
