Three foreign nationals have been charged with illegally voting in the 2024 federal election and falsely claiming U.S.
citizenship on Tennessee voter registration applications, federal prosecutors announced Friday.
The defendants, one man and two women, are citizens of Jamaica, Honduras, and Trinidad and Tobago, according to court documents cited by U.S. Attorney Braden H. Boucek of the Middle District of Tennessee.
Prosecutors identified them as Garfield St. Vincent Bruce, 48, a citizen of Jamaica; Mariela Elizabeth Avila Ortiz, 33, of Honduras; and Allison Melissa Wilkes, 49, of Trinidad and Tobago. Each is accused of casting a ballot in the 2024 federal election and falsely claiming U.S. citizenship on a Tennessee voter registration application.
"American citizenship is a precious inheritance and the right to vote is one of the most important and solemn trusts of citizenship," Boucek said. "Tennesseans need to know that those who vote illegally will be prosecuted to protect the integrity of our federal elections."

The Tennessee charges come as federal authorities investigate other allegations of voter fraud across the country. In Maine, the Justice Department is reviewing surveillance footage from Lewiston City Hall following accusations that people assisting Somali voters improperly influenced their ballots, The Daily Wire has learned.

The Tennessee cases also follow charges against dozens of foreign nationals accused of illegally voting in American elections or registering to cast ballots, The Daily Wire exclusively reported earlier this month. The accused were in Nevada, Pennsylvania, California, Florida, and New York. All but one are lawful permanent residents, while the other is an illegal immigrant, according to the DOJ.
