Multiple flights across Europe diverted and made emergency landings on Thursday following bomb threats, according to authorities.
Flights from more than a dozen cities, including Copenhagen, Dublin, Helsinki, Madrid, Milan and Warsaw were said to have been targets of bomb threats, the Associated Press reported.
Most of the flights were diverted to other airports for emergency landings, and others landed safely at their destinations.
The incidents followed a series of hoax bomb threats earlier this week that led to searches, diversions and a military escort in one case. So far, inspections have not turned up hazardous materials or explosives.
