A strong earthquake shook parts of Colombia Monday morning, and the resulting devastation was caught on video, as people ran for cover and buildings collapsed.

The earthquake, centered in the western part of the nation, registered 7.4 on the Richter scale, resulting in at least 47 deaths, according to reports, though that number is expected to rise.

BREAKING: At least 20 people dead, multiple buildings

President Donald Trump on Monday flipped the script on Iran’s demands for compensation for damages during the ongoing war, and is now demanding compensation from the Islamic Republic.

“I see that Representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran are asking for compensation for the damage done to them during the last five month Military Conflict (started because, THEY WILL NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON), even though it was never mentioned in any of our negotiations or meetings!” Trump said on X.

“But it is an interesting idea because now I am likewise demanding compensation from Iran, for all of the people that they have killed and gravely wounded with their roadside bombs and many conflicts, for which they are famous, as led initially by General Soleimani, including the families of those killed on the USS Cole, and thousands of others killed in combat.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent this week urged banking industry officials to pursue one basic border security plan that President Donald Trump wants: Debanking for illegal aliens.

Law enforcement officers conducting a sweep for illegal immigrants in one American city have arrested 1,200 individuals, including some 720 who already had been convicted of, or charged with, criminal actions.

Marco Charles, one chief at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations, said the sweep took violent criminals such as sex offenders and child abusers off the streets.

According to a report from Fox, Charles told “Fox & Friends,” “We arrested over 1,200 aliens, illegal aliens, out in the Atlanta, Georgia area. More than half of those people had criminal histories.”

He explained, “We’re talking about sex crimes, assault and battery, some with DUI convictions, domestic violence. These individuals needed to be taken off the street, not only because they’re criminals, but because they are here illegally in the United States.”

The public university which became the location of the Sept. 10, 2025, assassination of Charlie Kirk has reportedly withdrawn from a joint memorial event with the organization the late conservative political activist founded, Turning Point USA.

Utah Valley University (UVU) allegedly backed out of a Sept. 10, 2026, service planned to honor Kirk on the first anniversary of his assassination on its campus, The Cougar Chronicle reported, citing an anonymous source. The source claims Turning Point USA is seeking a new memorial location on short notice and is frustrated with the public university's reported sudden withdrawal.

"Healing continues in different ways for each member of our university community as we approach September 10, the one-year anniversary of the tragic events surrounding Charlie Kirk's death," an Aug. 7 UVU email to students and employees said, The Cougar Chronicle reported.
