Maine GOP Sen. Susan Collins lost her bid for a sixth term to Democrat Troy Jackson.
The Associated Press called the race early Wednesday morning.
Collins was a top target for Democrats, as the only Republican representing a state President Donald Trump lost two years ago.
Jackson is a former state Senate president.
