
Frequent sauna use is associated with reductions in all-cause mortality, stroke risk and dementia risk, according to multiple epidemiologic studies. Research published in JAMA Internal Medicine, Neurology and Age and Ageing has reported that men who used a sauna four to seven times per week had a 37% lower risk of all-cause mortality, a 61% lower risk of stroke and a 66% lower risk of dementia compared with those who used a sauna once per week, according to reports.
Two female Israeli soldiers died by suicide over the past week, according to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz. One was a combat soldier and the other an intelligence officer, officials said. Israeli Military Police announced they are investigating both deaths. The suicides bring the number of active duty IDF troops who have killed themselves this year to at least 16, Haaretz reported.
