Trump Political Org Pours Millions Into Florida District Race After House GOP PAC Slashed Funding

President Donald Trump's political operation planned to spend money in a competitive House race Thursday after Republicans slashed funding in the district.

The No Going Back PAC, a super PAC backed by MAGA Inc., is pouring more than $25 million into House races, including $6.3 million in Florida's 25th district where they hope to defeat Democratic Florida Rep. Jared Moskowitz, Punchbowl News first reported. The Congressional Leadership Fund, the top House super PAC, slashed $6 million in planned advertising to oppose Moskowitz and redirected $9 million to defend House seats held by Republicans. The super PAC planned to spend $1 million in Washington's third district, $85,000 in Florida's 22nd district, $1 million in Florida's 14th district and $1.2 million in Montana's first district.

Moskowitz is running against former Republican Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer, who served as mayor for eight years. He campaigned on delivering "common-sense, America First policies" and standing up against "a radical far-left agenda," according to his campaign website.

Cook Political Report moved the race from the "Toss Up" column to "Lean Democratic." Sabato's Crystal Ball moved the race's rating in Moskowitz's favor.

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis unveiled a newly drawn congressional map on May 4 that would help Republicans gain four seats. The map intended to benefit Republicans in the 25th district as it no longer covers its former inland Broward County areas.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris won Florida's 25th district in a 52.1% to 46.8% margin in the 2024 election. Democratic Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz won the district in 2024 by a 54.5% to 45.5% margin.

Moskowitz defeated his further-left opponent Oliver Larkin in the Aug. 18 primary, despite Larkin receiving endorsements from members of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). Candidates backed by the DSA won several of their races against their incumbent challengers throughout the 2026 primary cycle, including 29-year-old Melat Kiros in Colorado's first district.

Cook Political Report shifted 19 House races in Democrats' favor, including four Republican-held seats in Arizona, Colorado, Wisconsin and Virginia.
