President Donald Trump throughout his terms as president has worked to lock down the U.S. border.
National security is a high priority for him, and the millions of illegal aliens that Joe Biden allowed in to the U.S. have left behind destruction to social service programs, budgets, aid programs and more.
But now the security plans have reached a new, almost storybook, level: The Department of Homeland Security has been given permission to use a military heat ray there.
A report at the Gateway Pundit said War Secretary Pete Hegseth provided the machine for seven months, on the condition no one from his department operate it.
“CBP is continually evaluating new technologies, especially those that enhance operational effectiveness and strengthen mission capabilities," a Customs and Border Protection official told CNN.
The machine is the Active Denial System and it fires an invisible, focused beam of 95-gigahertz millimeter-wave energy.
That travels at the speed of light and can reach as far as half a mile.

Ingraham: The Pentagon has reportedly approved DHS to test a military grade heat ray weapon at the southern border

Mullin: Any technology we can use to deter people from using country illegally we are doing.
Ingraham: Is it lethal?
Mullin: No. I can't comment on this but can I… pic.twitter.com/BYkkI4BDNH
It reportedly produces an “intense, intolerable heating sensation.”
Officially, that military program, the Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Program, suggests the weapon is a non-lethal intermediate force. The tech was begun in the Air Force Research Lab in the 1980s. It first was considered for crowd dispersal in 2018.
According to CNN, the sensation from being in the weapon’s line of fire is like the blast of heat from opening a hot oven.
CNN commented that deploying such a weapon “would be an unprecedented step, even for the Trump administration, which has made border security and clamping down on immigration a top priority.”
If, and where, such a plan would be tested hasn’t been announced.
This tech actually was deployed, briefly, in Afghanistan but eventually was not used during combat.
Its crowd control capabilities have been considered by the military for years already.
There is now discussion that the plan might not even be needed, as Trump’s other border security efforts have led to a precipitous decline in the number of illegal aliens encountered on the nation’s borders.
