Laura Loomer is stepping away from her twice-weekly show for a brief hiatus, but she is making one thing unmistakably clear: she is not stepping away from the political fight.
The longtime President Trump supporter announced the break after the 2026 midterms, saying years of relentless work had left her running on empty and that it was time to make room for her family, personal life and upcoming wedding.
I’ve been going nonstop supporting President Trump @realDonaldTrump ever since he came down the golden escalator.

As many of you know, I am chronically tuned in, online, and I am always working. I am a machine. Some days I work more than 18 hours. My work has been one of the… pic.twitter.com/5djlbA9tea
Loomer is calling it a hiatus, not a retirement or a retreat from President Trump.
It is a pause from the production schedule of Loomer Unleashed, the livestream she has been hosting twice a week while also researching stories, developing sources and maintaining one of the most active political accounts on X.
Mediaite reported that Loomer described herself as chronically online and sometimes working more than 18 hours a day. She said that pace had put her family life, personal life, wedding plans and any healthy separation between work and home on hold.
The outlet also documented the extraordinary volume of her post-election activity. Citing a Newsweek analysis, it reported that Loomer published 119 messages on X in less than 28 hours as she reacted to Republican losses and argued over what went wrong.
But the most important part of her announcement was what she said she would continue doing. Loomer said she still plans to follow the news, support President Trump, conduct research, comment on politics and break stories while the show itself is off the air.
That distinction matters because Loomer's influence has never depended solely on a studio or a regular broadcast slot. Her political reach comes from the speed of her reporting, the intensity of her online presence and her willingness to publicly challenge people she believes are undermining the Trump agenda.
She is also already looking beyond the break.
And while I’m re-designing my new studio in preparation for the coverage and oppo research I’ll be doing in 2027-2028 ahead of the Presidential election season, if you have any news tips you want to send me, you can always submit them here. 👇🏻https://t.co/Hk4ifNWIZj

The Daily Letter published a transcript of Loomer's video announcement that put a more precise window on the pause. In the video, she described it as a one-to-two-month hiatus and said she intends to use that time both to prepare for her wedding and to upgrade her production studio.
The transcript shows that Loomer is treating the break as a reset before the next campaign cycle, not an exit from public life. She said the studio work is aimed at the political coverage and opposition research she expects to conduct as the 2028 presidential race takes shape.
She also thanked the people who have followed her reporting and said she would share more information about the show's return. That makes the timeline flexible, but the announced purpose is concrete: recharge personally, rebuild the production operation and come back prepared for the next phase.
The timing has nevertheless drawn attention because the announcement arrived during a fierce post-election argument inside the pro-Trump online world.
Trump digital strategist Alex Bruesewitz had criticized the political value of influencer disputes after the midterms. In an exchange with Loomer, he then said he had paid her for posts in the past, though not for at least a year, and alleged that others still pay her for posts.
No I don’t deny that. I’ve paid you for tweets before. I haven’t for at least a year though. I also know you still get paid by others for tweets so I do think it’s fair to refer to you as an “influencer.”

What percentage of your tweets are paid for? https://t.co/sIlmXTwnxQ
Bruesewitz's statement establishes his own past payments; his broader allegation about other paid posts remains his claim, not an independently established fact. Loomer's stated reasons for the hiatus were exhaustion, her personal life, her wedding and the studio rebuild.
There will be plenty of speculation about whether the online clash or the election results accelerated her decision. What is not speculative is Loomer's own roadmap.
She plans to remain active, remain supportive of President Trump and keep doing political research while taking the pressure of a twice-weekly show off her calendar for a short period.
In other words, Loomer may be going off the air for a bit, but she is not going quiet.
