WATCH: Team U.S.A. Honors Johnny Gaudreau After Defeating Canada for Olympic Gold

Team U.S.A. won a smashing victory at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Italy, defeating Canada’s hockey team for the gold medal. As the Americans skated on the ice in victory, they paid tribute to fallen NHL great Johnny Gaudreau.

As the Americans celebrated their third-ever hockey gold, they brought out a Team U.S.A. jersey with Columbus Blue Jackets winger Johnny Gaudreau’s name on it. As the fans cheered in the stands at the Games, team captain Auston Matthews, Zach Werenski, and Matthew Tkachuk skated a victory lap around the ice, hoisting Gaudreau’s jersey.

Met Police Officers Told to Provide Security at Epstein's House for Andrew Party: Report

Officers from London’s Metropolitan Police were reportedly told to provide security for a party for then-Prince Andrew at convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s New York property.

According to recently released emails by the United States Depart of Justice, two Scotland Yard royal protection officers were told by Epstein’s staff to protect the door of his Manhattan townhouse in 2010 during a party held in honour of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the BBC reported.

OK Gov. Stitt: Trump Tariffs Were Bringing Back Manufacturing in Oklahoma

OK Gov. Stitt: Trump Tariffs Were Bringing Back Manufacturing in Oklahoma

On this week’s broadcast of NewsNation’s “The Hill Sunday,” Gov. Kevin Stitt (R-OK) said President Donald Trump’s tariffs were bringing back manufacturing in his state.

Stitt said, “Well, first of all, I mean, I support the president. I mean, he’s using tariffs to bring manufacturing back to the US. It’s a national security issue. It’s a supply chain issue. So we applaud him for that. And we benefited. We just landed EGA, which is the largest or the first smelter that’s been built in the US aluminum smelter in 45 years, and we’ve been working on it for several years. Trump went and closed the deal when he was over in the UAE. They’re coming. But on the flip side, now they’re complaining because when they bring equipment into the US to actually build the widget or in this case, make the aluminum and employ Oklahomans, and bring the supply chain closer, they’re being penalized for bringing the equipment in. So that feels weird. Like, we shouldn’t be able to bring equipment in to make the widgets in Oklahoma, Texas, California, Michigan, or wherever, because we’re doing what the president wants. We’re bringing in jobs in Oklahoma. So that’s that part is weird. But I agree we have to have reciprocation. We can’t let these other countries rip us off. So all that’s good. The problem now is the Supreme Court has said Congress has got to do something. Oh, well. And now Congress can’t even do a budget, right, since the 90s.

USA Defeats Canada in Overtime, Wins Olympic Gold On 46th Anniversary of 'Miracle on Ice'

USA Defeats Canada in Overtime, Wins Olympic Gold On 46th Anniversary of 'Miracle on Ice'

On the 46th anniversary of the greatest moment in U.S. Olympic history and the most shocking upset in the history of sports, Team USA defeated archrival Canada for Olympic gold in overtime, 2-1.

Canada had served as the stumbling block to the Americans in 2002, 2010, and last year in the 4 Nations tournament. This year, however, the Americans survived until overtime on the strength of arguably the greatest goalie performance in the history of hockey, as Team USA’s Connor Hellebuyck stopped shot after shot and got the Americans to overtime.

Shapiro: Trump Is Sending ICE Agents on 'Unconstitutional Missions'

Shapiro: Trump Is Sending ICE Agents on 'Unconstitutional Missions'

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) accused President Donald Trump of sending Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents out on “unconstitutional missions.”

Partial transcript as follows:

RADDATZ:  Tom Homan — he took over in Minnesota, as you know, and he’s now saying it will be different than it was with Greg Bovino. They will do these targeted raids against people they know that are there, that they think are there illegally or have committed a crime.

SHAPIRO:  To me, it’s less important who’s in charge. What’s more important is that these individuals are being sent out on what I think are compromised and unconstitutional missions, as we saw in Minneapolis. The direction’s coming from the President of the United States.

RADDATZ:  If there’s a surge of ICE agents into Pennsylvania, what do you do?

SHAPIRO:  We are prepared. I will tell you, governors prepare for all kinds of emergencies — for a weather emergency or, God forbid, a terrorist incident or a shooting, awful things like that. We are now preparing, should the federal government, against our will, deploy federal officials into our communities.

It was interesting in the governor’s meeting, one of the governors asked the president, what did you learn from Minnesota and what happened there? And the president said, in the way he says things, I learned we’re only going to go to places where we’re wanted, where people say please and thank you.

We do not want that kind of chaos in our communities in Pennsylvania, so don’t come. But if you come, we are prepared to address it.

RADDATZ:  Our latest ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos poll found that 70 percent of Democrats support abolishing ICE. Do you support abolishing ICE?

SHAPIRO:  I think what’s clear is that ICE is not working. What’s clear is that they’ve been engaged in unconstitutional practices, and that needs to be fixed. I think the first step is what the Congress of the United States is doing right now to try and put some controls on that, and I want to see those controls be put into effect. Again, I’m not —

RADDATZ: But controls, not abolish.

SHAPIRO:  I’m not going to get caught up in labels here. It’s what I said to you —

RADDATZ:  It’s not a label really. It’s, do you get rid of them all together, or do you try to do it better?

SHAPIRO:  I think what is clear is that the manner in which they are being directed is a manner that directs them to go violate people’s constitutional rights, and that is not something I support.

Shapiro: Trump's Policies Are 'Chaotic, Cruel and Corrupt'

Shapiro: Trump's Policies Are 'Chaotic, Cruel and Corrupt'

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) said President Donald Trump’s policies were “chaotic, cruel and corrupt.”

Partial transcript as follows:

MARTHA RADDATZ: Let’s talk about the state of the Democratic Party right now.  You said that November’s election needs to be a referendum on President Trump, and that Democrats need to focus on reigning in the excesses, the chaos, the cruelty, the lawlessness of this administration. So what exactly is the pitch on how Democrats should do that?

SHAPIRO: I’ve called for a national referendum on these chaotic, cruel and corrupt policies of the Trump administration. Show up, vote in record numbers, and if you do, it is likely we’ll not only re-elect a bunch of Democratic governors who are holding the line here and

protecting the rule of law, but we’re very likely, and by the way, maybe even just in Pennsylvania, with our competitive congressional seats, to flip the balance of power in Congress.

That accomplishes two things. Number one, it stops the cruel policies from passing through the Congress of the United States, and number two, Congress finally, will ultimately act as a check on this administration, as is their constitutional obligation.

Newsom: Trump Is 'Flailing,' He's a 'Shadow of Himself'

Newsom: Trump Is 'Flailing,' He's a 'Shadow of Himself'

Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) said President Donald Trump was a “shadow of himself.”

Host Dana Bash said, “The Supreme Court Struck down most of President Trump’s tariffs this week. He’s already using different authorities to impose a 15% global tariff, vowing to forge ahead even without Congress. What do you do?”
