Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon unveiled a $500 million commitment to bring AI training to small business owners at the launch of the bank’s new Small Business AI Institute on Thursday.

Fortune reports that Solomon announced Goldman Sachs’ commitment alongside four technology partners: Anthropic, Google, Meta and OpenAI. The money will fund the next phase of Goldman’s 10,000 Small Businesses program, which has graduated nearly 20,000 entrepreneurs since it launched in 2010 as part of an earlier $1.25 billion pledge. The next chapter will focus on education, access to capital and support services.

Solomon said small businesses make up 99 percent of U.S. businesses, calling them a “hugely important ecosystem.” The new institute has three parts: training and learning programs run by each partner company, research into how small businesses use AI, and expanded access to capital.

Federal agents have arrested 10 foreign nationals in North Carolina this month, accusing them of illegally voting in several of the nation’s elections in recent years, Breitbart News has learned.

According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), nine green card holders and one illegal alien were arrested on October 14 and 15 and charged with illegally voting in federal elections.

“These aliens have been arrested and charged with illegally voting in multiple elections,” DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said in a statement. “They knowingly violated our laws. Now, thanks to the devoted patriots of HSI and our partners at the Department of Justice, these aliens will have to answer for violating the sacred right of Americans to elect their own leadership.”

Intel has announced that workers installed the first major structural truss at its new chip factory in New Albany, Ohio, a milestone the company is celebrating after years of project delays. The company envisions the massive project as a new “Silicon Heartland.”

CNBC reports that the Ohio site, located just northeast of Columbus, was announced in 2022 with production originally expected to begin in 2025. That date has long since passed. Intel now says construction on the first fab will wrap up in 2030, with a second fab at the same site targeted for 2031.

Naga Chandrasekaran, who heads Intel Foundry, wrote in a post on Intel’s company website that “this represents another significant step toward expanded U.S. leading-edge semiconductor capacity.”

The slower timeline reflects a broader rethinking of Intel’s foundry strategy under CEO Lip-Bu Tan, who took over in 2025. The Ohio build-out began under former CEO Pat Gelsinger, but Tan has taken a more cautious approach, preferring to wait for confirmed customer demand before committing to fab expansions.

A list of Hollywood celebrities and other well-known figures are pouring money into the coffers of radical Democrat socialists running for office in Michigan, including Barbra Streisand, Danny DeVito, rapper Macklemore, and Susan Sarandon.

Streisand, for instance, has donated $2,000 each to Michigan Democratic U.S. House candidates Christina Hines and William Lawrence, according to federal campaign finance records, the Detroit News reported.

Danny DeVito cut a check for $3,500 and sent it off to socialist Muslim Democrat candidate for Senate, Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed.

DeVito was not the only one to donate to El-Sayed. The socialist Muslim candidate for Senate also earned the support of rapper Macklemore, who donated $7,000 to El-Sayed’s campaign. In addition, actor Matthew Lillard donated $1,000, as did author Judy Blume, and actress Susan Sarandon gave $1,050.

Other notable leftists include Edsel Ford II, great-grandson of Henry Ford and former Ford Motor Co. board member, who doled out $10,000 to two Democrat House candidates, and Carter Oosterhouse, the host of HGTV’s Trading Spaces, who donated to Democrat House candidate Callie Barr.

Military review boards in the Navy and Marine Corps have voted to retain transgender-identifying service members in nine of 12 cases despite Pentagon instructions directing them to recommend discharge, according to a report from the New York Times, revealing resistance among some military review boards to President Donald Trump’s transgender military ban.

The New York Times reported that Navy boards have recommended retaining transgender sailors in seven of nine cases since hearings began in July, while Marine Corps boards have recommended retaining Marines in two of three cases since August.

The outcomes differ significantly from those in the Army, where approximately 50 hearings have resulted in discharge recommendations in all but roughly five cases, and the Air Force, where approximately six hearings have resulted in recommendations for discharge in every known case.

An overwhelming majority of polls in Brazil indicate that conservative Senator Flávio Bolsonaro is ahead of incumbent socialist President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva as the nation is hours away from the October 25 runoff election.

Over 158 million Brazilian voters are called to head to the polls on Sunday to choose between Bolsonaro and Lula as their president for the next four years. On Friday morning, the Brazilian outlet Poder 360 published a summary containing the results of the latest 17 surveys conducted by the nation’s top polling firms.

Out of the total, Sen. Bolsonaro appears numerically ahead in 15 out of the 17 polls, while Lula only appears as the winner in a poll conducted by the firm Vox Brasil. Both candidates appear tied with 50 percent each in the latest poll conducted by the left-leaning Datafolha firm. All 17 polls were conducted across different dates throughout mid-October.

Although Bolsonaro is ahead in the majority of the polls, the outlet observed that the percentage differences are “within the margin of error,” indicating the possibility of a close race between the candidates on Sunday. The conservative senator defied first-round polling and defeated Lula in

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson broke with her fellow justices Thursday regarding a fight over student ID and the midterm elections.

Fox News reported Friday that Jackson was the only justice to publicly dissent while other justices may have done the same but chose not to be identified on the court order.

The outlet said she stood alone against the court’s decision “allowing New Hampshire to block the use of student ID cards in the upcoming midterm elections.”

The U.S. general fertility rate hit a new “record low” in 2025, according to final birth data released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Wednesday. 

Last year, the general fertility rate was 53.2 births per 1,000 females ages 15-22  — a decrease of 1 percent from 53.8 in 2024, the federal agency found. 

The CDC found that birth rates decreased for females ages 10-29 and increased for women ages 30-44. The rate was unchanged for women ages 45-49. 

Specifically, birth rates decreased for females between the ages of 10-14 from 0.2 births per 1,000 females in 2024 to 0.1 births in 2025. For teen girls ages 15-19, the birth rate decreased 7 percent from 12.6 in 2024 to 11.7 in 2025. For women between the ages of 20-24, the birth rate decreased 6 percent from 55.8 in 2024 to 52.3 in 2025. The rate for women ages 25-29 went down 4 percent from 89.5 to 85.7, per the data. 

The US just hit new record low in births for 2025. It is now 23% below the 2007 peak.

An Illinois woman who reportedly was "afraid of dying alone" drove head-on into a semi-truck, allegedly to kill herself. That caused the death of her elderly mother and injuries to her teenage son – but left her very much alive and facing murder charges.

Jamie L. Rhode, 47, was arrested on first-degree murder charges earlier this week in connection with a deadly crash along U.S. Route 54 on July 24. She also faces an attempted first-degree murder charge in connection with her son's injuries, according to the Pike County Sheriff's Office.
