A terrified teenage girl was seen making a desperate dash for freedom after allegedly being kidnapped and brutally stabbed inside a Baltimore basement.
The newly released surveillance footage captures the 15-year-old fleeing a property on Garrison Boulevard at 8.52pm on October 22, just 43 minutes after arriving with her alleged attacker, who is an illegal immigrant released into the US under Biden.
The girl had been taken to the property by Abubakarr Barrie, 23, who is accused of stabbing her repeatedly during a horrific ordeal that left her with a collapsed lung.
According to charging documents, the teenager had been picked up by Barrie on McCulloh Street and believed they were heading to PlattaKing on Belair Road.
But she allegedly became suspicious when he began driving in the opposite direction. When she challenged him, Barrie allegedly put his arm around her neck and head, restraining her while she remained strapped into her seatbelt.
He then allegedly forced her out of the vehicle, grabbed her by the arms and pushed her down a small flight of steps towards the rear of a home located at 3705 Garrison Blvd.
Once inside a tiny room inside the property, he allegedly ordered her to put down her phone and not scream.
The charging documents describe how a violent struggle erupted, with Barrie allegedly stabbing the girl across her body.

Chilling surveillance footage shows the moment a 15-year-old girl bolts from a Baltimore home after allegedly being kidnapped, stabbed repeatedly and held captive in a basement

Suspect Abubakarr Barrie, 23, who is an illegal immigrant according to DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin faces nine charges, including attempted first-degree murder and kidnapping, and is being held without bail

The teenager fought for her life by clawing at her attacker before grabbing a fire extinguisher and using it to beat him off – escaping barefoot and without clothes on
But the teenager fought back, scratching and clawing at her attacker in retaliation before spotting a fire extinguisher.
She seized the heavy object and began hitting him, eventually managing to break free and flee the property on foot without shoes or clothes on.
Police found her injured in the 3800 block of Belle Avenue at around 9.30pm. Her wounds included injuries to her chest, ear, shoulder, back and ribs, with the attack leaving her with a collapsed lung according to the documents.
The case has prompted a furious response from federal immigration officials, who say Barrie should never have been free to allegedly carry out the attack.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) identified him as an illegal alien from Sierra Leone who entered the United States through Arizona in December 2023.
He was arrested by US Border Patrol but subsequently released into the country by the Biden administration, according to DHS.
Federal officials say Barrie was later arrested by the New York Police Department in July 2026 on a charge of third-degree possession of a forged instrument.
ICE lodged a detainer requesting that he be transferred into federal immigration custody.

The homeowner said Barrie had contacted him earlier that day with a odd request, asking whether he could access the property's security cameras

He allegedly claimed his wallet had been stolen and said he wanted to share a picture of the girl he believed had taken it
But DHS claims New York sanctuary politicians refused to honor the request and released him.
The federal agency says that release came just three months before Barrie allegedly attacked the teenager in Baltimore.

Following his arrest in Baltimore, ICE lodged another detainer on October 24, asking authorities not to release him.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin launched a blistering attack on sanctuary policies in response to the case.
'This illegal alien is charged with attempted murder and kidnapping after he allegedly stabbed a 15-year-old girl,' he said.
'This tragedy would never have happened were it not for the multiple failures of sanctuary policies.'
Mullin blamed the Biden administration's border policies for allowing Barrie into the country and criticized New York officials for allegedly refusing to hand him over to ICE following his previous arrest.
The property's owner, who asked not to be identified, handed the footage to FOX45 News after discovering what had allegedly happened inside his home whilst he was out of the country when the incident occurred.

Barrie, 23, an illegal migrant from Sierra Leone, had been released into America after being arrested at the southern border under the Biden administration, DHS says. Despite his defense arguing he has no criminal history, online records show he had been arrested in Baltimore County nearly three months earlier on a prostitution charge
The homeowner said Barrie had been renting a basement room and had returned to the property around one or two months earlier, having previously lived there before moving to New York.
Footage from 8.09pm shows a white car pulling into the driveway.
A man that the homeowner identified as Barrie gets out, followed by a female passenger. The pair walk towards the basement entrance and disappear inside and at 8.52pm, the girl is seen running out.
The homeowner said Barrie had contacted him earlier that day asking whether he could access the property's security cameras.
He allegedly claimed his wallet had been stolen and said he wanted to share a picture of the girl he believed had taken it.
The homeowner initially thought little of the request, but after speaking to a friend whose uncle lived at the property, he realized the situation could be far more ominous.
He subsequently reviewed the recordings and sent them to police. 'This cannot be possible, not at my property,' he recalled thinking.
The homeowner said he had never suspected Barrie was capable of violence, describing him as someone who had previously lived at the address without causing problems.
He also revealed that an older tenant recovering from a stroke had been sharing the basement area with Barrie. The homeowner said he was particularly relieved the teenager had survived.

The owner of the Baltimore property has described his shock at learning what allegedly happened inside his home. The homeowner, who asked not to be identified, told FOX45 he was out of the country when the alleged attack took place
'I'm glad she's OK, number one, because at the end of the day, that could have been much worse. She could have not made it through,' he said.
The footage does not show what happened inside the vehicle or basement, and police have not independently confirmed every detail of the teenager's account.
It also appears to show the girl walking towards the residence with Barrie, whereas charging documents say she told investigators he forced her towards the rear of the property and pushed her down the steps.
Investigators say the teenager provided details of Barrie's vehicle and a Cash App account. A phone number associated with the account was traced to him, along with vehicle information.
She later identified Barrie in a photographic lineup, according to charging documents.
He now faces nine charges, including attempted first-degree murder and kidnapping, and is being held without bail.
His defense told a court on October 26 that he had no prior criminal history.
However, online records show he had been arrested in Baltimore County nearly three months earlier on a prostitution charge. That case was marked 'stet', meaning proceedings were placed on hold.
The investigation remains ongoing.
