The shooter who murdered three people at an In-N-Out drive-thru in Idaho has been identified.
Chad Williams, 24, opened fire at the fast food restaurant on Saturday afternoon in Twin Falls.
Williams, who was armed with a camouflaged AR-style rifle, killed three people, including a beloved employee, the franchise owner previously revealed.
Seven others were left injured in the rampage. Two of them were taken to the hospital and later released, the Associated Press reported.
Three others were stable after the shooting, and the remaining two have been left in critical condition.
Williams died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after turning the gun on himself. He also acted alone, Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said.
According to Hicks, an armed citizen and an off-duty state trooper both fired back at Williams during the incident.
'We believe their actions helped drive the suspect away from the scene, preventing further casualties,' he said.
