Nothing suspicious happening here!
Just look the other way!
For those of you tuning in late, Daniel S. Sullivan, the Republican incumbent for Alaska's Senate seat, is facing a Republican challenger in Alaska's bizarre ranked-choice
voting system who is named Daniel J. Sullivan.
Daniel J. Sullivan has not campaigned. Daniel J. Sullivan does not make appearances.
According to The New York Times, Daniel J. Sullivan was added by Democrats to confuse Republicans, and only for that reason, hoping to give Democratic challenger Mary Peltola a boost at the polls.
Daniel J. Sullivan also has a son in politics who happens to work for a Democratic representative from Washington State, Marie Gluesenkamp Perez.
Oh, and Perez happens to be good buddies with Mary Peltola, both serving as co-chairs of the U.S. House caucus Blue Dog Coalition.

I'm sure it's just a big ol' coincidence!
The election's on Tuesday, by the way.
