Jack Campbell, a linebacker for the Detroit Lions, suffered a seemingly serious injury Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.
After he made a tackle, Campbell wasn't able to get back up by himself and had to receive assistance from medical staffers prior to being taken off the field on a cart. (RELATED: Ravens' Lamar Jackson Will Be Placed On Injured Reserve Due To Needing Thumb Surgery)

Jack Campbell is a key piece to Detroit's defense, going into Sunday's contest leading the franchise in total tackles with 54. Against the Vikings, he put three more on the stat sheet prior to suffering the injury to his neck.
In the 2025 season, Campbell was named a First-team All-Pro after racking up a career-high 176 tackles, five sacks and three forced fumbles.
Over the offseason, Detroit rewarded Campbell with a four-year, $81 million contract extension.
In 2023, the Lions selected Campbell with the No. 18 overall pick in the draft following a great college football career at Iowa. Since those days, the 26-year-old has become one of the best linebackers in the NFL and Detroit's defensive leader.
"This is Jack Campbell's defense, and I don't hesitate when I say that," said Lions defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard earlier in 2026. "This is Jack Campbell's defense and everyone in that locker room knows it. Point blank, period. It all goes through Jack."
