WWE legend Ric Flair was rushed to the hospital Friday after suffering injuries in a fall outside a Florida restaurant.
Sources with direct knowledge of the situation told TMZ that Flair was at Wagamama in Tampa when he stood up from his spot at the bar, left his phone and drink behind, and walked across the street. Once outside, sources claimed Flair collapsed and sustained a facial injury that left him bloodied.
The incident is believed to have unfolded just hours after Flair took to social media to advise fans he was unable to fly due to a blood clot.
"Blood Clots Are Extremely Serious And Can Be Life-Threatening. We Have Seen This Recently With Jalen Hurts And The Complications Involving Blood Clots In His Lungs. It Is A Reminder That This Is Not Something To Take Lightly, And I Must Follow Medical Advice," he wrote.
The post continued, "I'm Scheduled To Have A Procedure To Strip The Affected Vein, Which My Doctors Expect Will Allow Me To Be Cleared For More Travel Afterward."
The former wrestler suffered cuts to his eye and head, and TMZ's sources noted that his eye was bleeding extensively. The outlet reported he may have also suffered a concussion.
Medical personnel arrived on scene, and Flair was rushed to the hospital.
