Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky would consider a freeze along the current front lines as a way to make a peace deal with Russia to end the war.
Zelensky, who appeared on Fox and Friends Wednesday morning, was asked by Brian Kilmeade if he would "accept a peace deal, that freezes everything the way it is right now" in terms of borders and he keeps 75% of Ukraine.
Zelensky agreed, saying, "Yes, if we, right now, have to freeze, and I think this is [a] real way to end this war." Afterwards, he added, "and of course, this is [the] minimum of what we need from Russia today - then of course we'll go to President [Trump] and to Europeans and we'll ask [for] security guarantees."

When Kilmeade asked if he would be willing to give up the Donbas region, Zelensky said that this was "not fair." He added, "They are not winning on the battlefield. That's why they want us to push using any kind of, you know, any kind of pressure on us to push us from our land. It's not fair."
Although he said that, "of course, we want to end this war as quickly as possible," he also said that the Ukrainian people want to remain in their own country.
Zelensky also said that the most important aspect of a peace deal is to have guarantees in place so that Russian aggression and occupation would not return in the future.
This comes as Russian President Putin has suggested a summit with Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping to negotiate a deal with Ukraine. Zelensky was not invited to this summit. US envoy Steve Witkoff is currently in St Petersburg.
