The Mexican military killed the drug kingpin during an attempted apprehension, The Hill reported. The Jaliscos are notorious for being among the most violent of the drug cartels in Mexico and have a reputation for brutality that far exceeds the standards of their rivals.
The Jaliscos primarily operate central Mexico and the death of the leader has led to rampant bloodshed.
