A couple of patriot students exercising their rights caused Cornell University to freak out just because their latest hunting expedition ended with a tremendous haul that ended up back in the dorm kitchen last September.
The kind of stuff RFK Jr. gets into on a Sunday afternoon.
And now, a year later, the University has responded:
I thought Cornell was in America, but I guess not.
Here's the Cornell Sun:
Cornell has updated its Community Living Standards to include a clause banning the processing of wild animals in communal kitchens. The update follows a September incident in which students skinned and butchered a legally hunted bear in a shared kitchen in Ganędagǫ: Hall, a residence hall on North Campus.
A University spokesperson confirmed that the update is a response to the Ganędagǫ: Hall incident.
'The policy aims to provide clarity regarding what is or is not appropriate to do in a communal kitchen space,' the spokesperson wrote.
Blah blah blah, provide clarity, blah blah.
We get it. You hate America.
The two students at the heart of the controversy were cleared of any wrongdoing. They broke no laws, they violated no health codes, they just did what they thought was best under the circumstances.
