In February 2025, after smoking weed and playing video games, Utah men Dylan Lee Treichel and Ashton Mann made the natural progression to the garage to play with real guns.
That's when Treichel made the claim that he was fast enough to dodge a real bullet like they show people doing in the movies.

You can probably guess what happened next.
Well, fast forward a year and a half (because the courts move slowly as molasses), and Ashton Mann is heading to prison:
KSL has the details:
Charging documents state that in the early hours of Feb. 2, 2025, police responded to a Kearns home to find Treichel on the floor with a gunshot wound to his chest.
Who could have seen that coming?
Not Treichel!
Bullets are too fast!
'Mann stated that after the round went off, he was in such shock he continued racking his gun. Mann stated that he wasn't even aiming at anything because he had his gun sideways,' the charges state.
Mann pled guilty to manslaughter charges for being dumb and killing his friend.
He'll face sentencing in January.
