Harmeet Dhillon resigned from her role at the Department of Justice (DOJ) Thursday following the catastrophic midterm elections, according to several reports.
Dhillon's resignation makes her the first high-profile official to depart President Donald Trump's administration after the disastrous midterm cycle. Dhillon served as the Assistant Attorney General within the DOJ's civil rights unit. (RELATED: Trump Brought Back America First — The Daily Caller Is Taking On The Establishment Trying To Hijack It)
This comes just days after Republicans endured a bruising midterm defeat, with Democrats flipping seven Senate seats and dozens of House seats so far.
Dhillon and the DOJ did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller.

Dhillon first assumed the role in April 2025 following a party-line confirmation vote in the Senate. She previously served as a campaign lawyer for Trump and founded her own California-based law firm, Dhillon Law Group.
