U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna has won reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives by a narrow margin in Florida's midterm elections.

On Thursday, two days after Election Day, the Associated Press called the race for Luna (R-Fla.), who won 155,117 votes, or 49.5%, defeating retired Army Brigadier Leela Gray, the Democrat nominee, with 99% of the total votes counted. The incumbent congresswoman won by about 2,500 votes.

Luna, 37, is going on to serve her third term in the lower chamber of Congress after she was first elected in 2023.

President Donald Trump threw his support behind Luna in 2025, calling her a "MAGA Warrior" and a "WINNER."

"Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna is an incredible Advocate for the Great People of Florida's 13th Congressional District!" Trump posted to Truth Social. "Anna is an America First Patriot, who fights tirelessly to Grow the Economy, Cut Taxes, Secure our Border, End Migrant Crime, Support our Great Military/Vets, Protect our always under siege Second Amendment, and Restore American Energy DOMINANCE."

The congresswoman's major campaign priorities included lowering costs and taxes — a hot topic nationwide during this year's midterms — by eliminating income taxes on Social Security benefits, tips and overtime, capping student loan interest rates at 3%, reducing prescription drug costs and opposing wasteful government spending.

Luna supported a strong border and pushed for drug cartels to be designated as foreign terrorist organizations.

She has already discussed legislation she plans to pass after the election, including establishing term limits for members of Congress.

The Republican also said she will no longer take PAC or foreign interest money.

Gray also promised to improve affordability, prioritizing reducing homeowners insurance premiums, expanding affordable housing, cutting taxes for the middle class, eliminating tariffs and making childcare more affordable.

She wanted to restore the expired Affordable Care Act (ACA) credits and restore the ACA in an effort to make health care more accessible.

The Democrat candidate also prioritized government accountability and would have supported a ban on members of Congress trading individual stocks while in office — an opinion that aligns with many Republican voters and politicians.
