“Unfortunately we are seeing more and more of these out of state actors coming into our community and setting up shop to sell their poison. Shutting down an operation of this size is a huge win for the citizens of Waterville," said Waterville Police Chief William Bonney.
At approximately 12:30 p.m., Waterville police obtained a search warrant for 127 Westerne Ave. as part of an investigation into large-scale drug trafficking operations in the area.
Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents joined police in executing the warrant.
During the warrant execution, officers allegedly seized 13.5 pounds of methamphetamine, 3.5 pounds of cocaine base, 1 pound of Fentanyl and $30,000 in suspected drug proceeds.
Police estimate the street value of the drugs to be over $1 million.
Police also arrested Tony Brown, 48, of New Haven, Connecticut, on three counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.
He was held on $750,000 bail.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may follow.
